Open Track Day Meetup in Featured Multiplayer

The track day meetup lobby was my favorite place to casually put in laps with out the stresses of constant competition. I spent many years enjoying this lobby in FM7 and am kind of devastated that it didn’t make a return to the new Forza. There were so many familiar names and a community of drivers that was developed and I suggest turn 10 reintroduce this lobby into the game. Please upvote this if you agree. Thanks

If not, it’s a must have option for real forza multiplayer lobby lovers. The only lobby which could stretch hours and even days for some players.

Its great way to learn new tracks or practice them with traffic. Its way more entertaining than beeing on your own in private lobbies.
Also you can meet a new people to play with

I want to see separated lap times by class so a less skilled driver cant just whip out a LMP and smoke the whole lobby instantly then pull over and sit there showing off that got pretty annoying

Miss this a lot. Being able to hop on FM7, go straight to meetup and throw down some laps, and have some competition while doing so. Testing, tuning, learning the track, etc. I loved being able to follow people around the track in a non-competition setting and learn how others are taking lines, and be able to get faster from there. This mode NEEDS to make a comeback!

An absolute must. I don’t always have time for a full practice and race. Sometimes I just want to hop in a lobby and go. Great way to learn tracks with other people.

Agreed. As Motorsport 7 aged, the Open Track Days became my favorite way to kill time. Not all racing has to be white-knuckle competition, sometimes you just want to be in a lobby with other people and chill.

However, some tweaking would be nice. The F1 cars need to be banned from the lobbies. They were just too fast and people used them as ramming devices. Also, it would be cool if they could do a sort of “Explorable Paddock”. At a real track day, poking around other people’s cars is half the fun. If we could see other player’s cars parked in the paddock or pit lane in a more interactive way, that would be great.

i agree totally on the exploring the track thing that would be fantastic to see people’s cars racing as its good to see sometimes am really poorly an i wanna go on but am too poorly id like to watch whilst i talk to my friends an new people be good if we could watch or park up and see things.

This is honestly a no-brainer with the car levelling system. Currently the only ways to level up cars are Builders Cup (Which only allows select cars in select series), Free Play and Rivals (these might get boring after a while). Track days would give more incentive to get and level up new cars

Having an Open Track Day Meetup would be very nice!
As mentioned by some it’s a great way to level cars in a more casual manner. It doesn’t always have to be competitive!
Having it be a daily/weekly rotating circuit in the Open Series of Featured Multiplayer could be a nice way to implement it.

YES PLEASE bring this to the new game!!! Its where I spend 95% of my Time in FM7. It was fun to just do laps with no pressure unless someone occasionally wanted to race. Then it was fun to do a few competitive laps with that person then go back to medium fast laps or just cruise and chill. It was the best part of the game.

For casual driving absolutely and it would be also nice for tuning purposes since free play / multiplayer grip feels pretty different.

I hope that they are still going to have open track day meet up on Forza Motorsport

This mode was very fun from fm7. So basically make a separate tab in the featured multiplayer section (like qualifier, spec and open events) and just call it “open track day”. Make it the exact same as practice in the featured multiplayer, but add the ability to add upgrades… backing out all the way to the main menu is very tedious… Also make it to where anyone can enter in any car they like. Make sure the tracks change every now and then, so it doesnt get too repetitive. The whole idea of this, is that players can take their level 1 cars on the track to level them up with other players! I will not be leveling up my cars by myself in freeplay. I will wait for this feature to be added back.

I believe they need to bring “open track day” into the new Forza Motorsport. it was the most used multiplayer mode in FM7 when added and it was a way to meet new people, have a good time, race but it didn’t have to be super serious. Also a good place to test tunes with people, I’ve had discussions with a good amount of people in group posts so far on how they feel about the new motorsports multiplayer and a common rant about it is there isn’t a “open track day feature” for racing, drifting or drag racing. I hope it gets added eventually it would be a very impactful feature added to the game!!

100% agree, this game mode needs to come back. I played FM7 religiously for about 5 years and hands down this feature kept the game alive in the long run. The amount of weekends I spent in this game mode with my group of forza friends, and Forza strangers most importantly, casually racing, forming our own races, chilling at the side of the track watching many players enjoy the freedom. Omg. I can’t express how amazing this game mode was.

I understand that the hopper system has changed. Lobbies have practice now which somewhat makes up for it. But it’s not the same. It still doesn’t allow the social aspect. I know it’s not Horizon, but this trancends horizon. Open track days really brought this game close to real life. This casual element needs to come back.

In addition, pausing the game shouldn’t auto drive the car in this game mode either. Players need to be able to chill at the side of the track if they want. Not ON the track, perhaps idle too long it jumps you back to a dedicated zone, but players need to be able to idle and treat it like a real track day like the old game.

I believe this game mode was incredibly important for the longevity of the game. Eventually the player base is going to be so good that new players will find it very difficult to get up to speed. There will be more seasoned players against newbie players and so the online aspect will practically be barred for newbies.

Open track days should give a penalty free (mostly) pressure free place for anyone to hop on and casually learn and play with any level of player. I actually met 100s of amazing players I still speak to today through this game mode. I have many special memories and now it’s no longer possible. The game will never be the same as far as im concerned.

SUPER DUPER IMPORTANT I CAN"T STRESS ENOUGH!
