Grid Starts or Stand Still Launch Starts are very bad for Open Class Racing in my opinion. Not only does it completely diminish the value of a good qualifying lap, but it also creates more congestion and racing incidents in the first 1-2 turns. It can often allow for much slower drivers to purposely target and sabotage leaders who would otherwise never cross paths in the race. I am all for racing from the back and working through the pack but that should be a personal choice, or skill based outcome from qualifying. It shouldn’t be an unfortunate side effect of car choice or flawed game design.
Every event should be rolling start in my opinion.
