The more I play online, the more this is really beginning to annoy me.
I’m struggling to see the point in trying to win races when I can win a championship by just sitting at the back avoiding other racers and building the highest skill chain possible. In theory, an XP based championship encourages people to win a race whilst driving skilfully and avoiding collisions. However, in practice, it encourages players to use Horizon Edition cars and not even bother trying to win. It’s so frustrating to win an event in a non Horizon car and still end up mid table in the championships!
Whilst it is possible to win both, it’s unlikely; most lobbies that I’ve been in have been dominated by someone who hasn’t come close to winning once, and as HE cars become more apparent, it’s getting worse; I was on a game adventure that was almost exclusively filled Huracan HE cars.
For the most part, FH3 is brilliantly fun, but the XP championships are broken - why race when you can win by not even finishing the event?
So why can’t they be points based according to finishing position?
