Why are we forced to be online to play a single player game that has multiplayer parts? If it was just multiplayer i understand, buts its more of a SP game than anything. You could play the demo offline, why not our retail game? To me this is just another area where Steam is so much better at game management. Will they change this in the future?
Windows Store > Settings > Offline Permissions?
Ill look into this right now thank you, I searched google if anyone else had the problem. Maybe I asked the wrong question.
EDIT: I looked in settings and i already have offline permissions. So thats not it, have you tried playing it offline?
Anyone tried playing the game offline? PC
On Pc the game will need to be connected to online. With all fairness i believe to access any game on the Xbox app you need to be online as the app itself needs internet, so with that said i doubt it is just Forza that needs internet to play. I do agree however that a Pc game should be able to be played offline as long as its on the hard drive like with steam.
Ok thank you very much for the feedback, this is my first experience with xbox app and the store. Its been a bad one at that. Forza is the only reason Im messing around with them. Its really irritating when you have to be online to play a game, I understand if its multi only. All my games on steam (except for multi only) can be played offline. Even Orgin/EA allows you to play Battlefront offline.
Yes, digital edition of Forza on Xbox also need live internet to work at all. Only CD version can play offline.

You can play the digital edition on xbox offline. I know that because I had an issue with my internet at home. I started playing in career mode while online, but when my internet at home went done, i got kicked out of the race. So now, when doing longer races in singleplayer, I set the xbox to offline (just to be safe) and it works fine.
If you play offline then don’t expect Forza/Xbox app to monitor the achievements like the turns and passing etc. When I first got the game there was an issue with the server and it offered to play offline when it could not sync with the XBOX app on Win 10.
Forgive my misunderstanding, so you er saying we can play it offline?
FH3 was intended to work offline but there seems to be an issue that T10 is aware of:

You should also post your details to the FM7 Tech Support forum. If you receive a definitive statement about offline-play requirements for FM7, please post it here for others to see.
Thank you, and i appreciate the link.
