Why do I have to have an internet connection to play forza on of? What if my internet is down, like it is right now? So I can’t play? I can play on Xbox offline, why can’t I on PC?
Because Microsoft hates us. I was really really p*ssed off when my net went down and I couldn’t play. In theory I believe you should be allowed to change some offline content setting, but I don’t think anyone has actually succeeded with it. It’s definitely a terrible oversight. I don’t need an internet connection to hot lap around the nurburgring. This game has disappointed on many levels, despite the actual driving being really fun.
I agree, my internet went down for a bit and I got a nice little greeting that an internet connection is required.

That’s all fine and dandy, but when the internet goes down I should still be able to play single player. It’s not like it’s constantly updating or downloading dlcs or whatever… I can’t even start the game if I don’t have an internet connection, and that’s just bs.

I was under the assumption that you could play single player when offline as long as its your home xbox ?
how do I set my windows 10 pc as my “home Xbox”?
I’d guess it’s some kind of pirating protection, PC is notorious for cracked single player games.
Go to the windows store app > Settings > Offline Permissions need to be toggled “On”

Gotta love when moderators put [ANSWERED] in the title when their answer didn’t solve the problem. But hey, it was an answer so I guess they are right doing so? Kind of unnecessary though.

DRM checks and to prevent piracy, basically you have to play on their servers to run the game etc.
Does it work? No because pirates have been known to create offline versions of games like this. But whatever.
Woah. Just checked what you guys were talking about : to run f7 then fh3, offline (even when offline permissions in the store is enabled).
Not working.
