[Observation] Asymmetrical gurney flaps on the Lola #6 Penske Sunoco T70

Like many players, I completed another set of #Forzathon challenges yesterday, and was rewarded with the Lola #6 Penske Sunoco T70.

Upon receiving the car I noticed something odd about the rear bodywork, which you can make out in the screenshot above.

Initially I suspected this to be a modelling error, as it’s natural for a game of this size to have some inaccuracies when it comes to the finer details.

Looks like I wasn’t the only one wondering this, but according to GTPlanet the car actually did race with asymmetrical gurney flaps in competition:

Anyways, I figured I’d post it here incase anyone else was curious, and to prevent another witch-hunt on the forums

I think that was the set up used because of the banked part of the course at the Dayton 24. Ive no evidence to back this up but it would seem to make sense wouldn’t it?

Looks like its a Daytona 24 spec car, back then they didn’t use the bus stop and the infield is too slow for downforce to work properly.

This specific car was run by Parsons and Donohue in the 1969 24 Hours of Daytona. Which it also won.

Guess we can’t unscrew it in the Spoiler customisation? :stuck_out_tongue:

A “turn left car” as I saw someone describe it as on another thread.

This car would have been well suited in forza 6, need more competition for the ford gt and ferrari 330 p4. All we would need after is the porsche 908 and matra ms630
