Forza Horizon 5: DLSS 3 Races Onto PCs March 28th

On March 28th, a new update races onto PCs everywhere, bringing with it support for NVIDIA DLSS 3 and NVIDIA Reflex. When activated, DLSS 3 enables GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs to break the 120 FPS barrier at 4K.

This is a massive update for those who own a 4000 series card.

You really don’t need this if you have 4090, I’m getting well above that 120 fps currently with 4090 and native 4K, maybe it benefits other 4000 series cards.

True, if you have a 4090.

There’s also the less powerful 4080, 4070ti and the soon to be released entry level 4060.

The fact that Nvdia now supports dlss 3 for FH5 is awesome news! And this is coming from someone who plays on XSX.

Yes, it’s good news that this coming to FH5, benefits those lower cards, I also played this on Series X and it was fine but switched to pc for smoother experience.

What sort of PC setup do you have? 4090? CPU and monitor?

Gigabyte 4090, I5-12600K, 32 Gig DDR4-3600, 2 monitors; Gigabyte M32U, 4K@144Hz and Asus PG278QR 1440p@144Hz and 2 Nvme drives (1TB and 2TB), also i have racing rig and Thrustmaster TS-PC racer wheel for to use with other racing games.

Awesome, but sadly it sounds like you can’t take much if any advantage of dlss 3 if you’re capped at 144fps.

Yeah, doesn’t benefit at all with those monitors.

Like you said though it’s not like you really need it if you’re already sitting between 120-140 fps. You also shouldn’t have to worry about any weird artifacts generated by dlss 3.

Pity fsr isn’t implemented for fh5 on xsx.

Feel like MS missed a trick by using amd GPU again

Even if Xbox used Nvidia it would have a 3000 series card which doesn’t support dlss 3 as 4000 series cards were released muchater.

AMD will be announcing shortly their alternative to dlss 3 since it’s abit of a game changer. So presumably the next generation of Xbox consoles will support some form of dlss 3 or better.

Even the other features available to rtx cards.

We’ve been hearing about fsr being available for devs on xsx and afaik, one game uses it.

Fsr 3.0 is next but probably fh6

I don’t see the point of refresh rates over 120Hz anyway.

It’s a way to market new graphics cards and monitors.

And little more from what I read.
