Numb bum

Well, after getting through thousands of bum numbing hours and several controllers (I must control my rage!) I’ve finally come to the conclusion that it is impossible to have a car that behaves like anything other than a rowing boat made of jelly on an ocean of oil whilst using two odd sized mops as oars.
I’ve tried every type of car and have gone through all the tuning categories from nought to ridiculous and every conceivable combination.
The car never has any grip,it understeers, it oversteers, the brakes don’t slow it down, the brakes lock the wheels then it understeers, again,it wobbles and bounces about etc etc.
Out of desperation I downloaded some recommended tunes, they were worse. If I wanted a fight I would have got cod or something. I just want to drive fast in a car that does what I want it to do and for it to not unleash nasty little surprises.
Other than that, they are great games. (Did I mention the crashatars? )

What console are you on?

If on the One try the WRX 05 tune from BIG W0RM 80 - the 0 in worm is a zero.

The A class tune is best in my view.

Also try DAGnoFEAR’s RS1800 in B class.

Funny - I was also going to recommend that WRX. It’s not the fastest, but it is one of the best driving cars and I love it. I use it way too much in A Class.

While I disagree with your assessment of the handling model, that was some top-shelf metaphor work.

A gelatinous rowboat, lol

I think that Bum Nuts should try Slot Car Racing. The whole point of a realistic racing game, is that the cars behave like real cars.

Thanks Satnite and PPi,I’ll give that a try.
UnhipPompano, thanks for not disappointing me. I was waiting for a “Well you’re just rubbish” type of reply,ha ha.
Allow me to fill in some details.
I am a sad, single 55 year old. In my time I have seen the entire development of games consoles from ping pong to present day. Most of my gaming in that time has been on racing games, formula 1,Moto GP and all the forzas from 3 onwards.
I am a qualified engineer and an entirely self taught guitarist up to professional standard so I guess you could say I know a bit about precision and timing. Essential for racing I would have thought.
In my original post I said “I have come to the conclusion…etc” I wasn’t saying that the physics are wrong, just that I’ve never found the sweet spot of any car. I used to be a delivery driver for a well known kitchen firm. I drove a long wheelbase luton head transit van with no abs all around yorkshire with its twisty country roads. Whether empty or full to bursting,it never ever frightened me like my cars do on forza. It’s just that the same car on the same circuit doesn’t seem to handle the same for 2 laps running. Maybe it’s just me.
I did say that they are great games.
In case you didn’t notice,my original post was done in a jokey manner. It was not a serious complaint.
Peace and love to all.
Oh,ps. Although it might sound like I’m a whinging sore loser,on a lot of the leaderboards I’m in the top 1%. (A quiet feeling of smugness takes over  )

Best metaphor I’ve ever heard, bravo!
