No tuning for FH2(360), does this change your mind to purchase one way or the other?

I was going to buy 2 copies 1 for the xbone and 1 for the 360 now I’ll probably just get it for the xbone

I had no interest in the 360 version anyway, since I have an Xbox 1. But, if I hadn’t gotten it, I’d be disappointed a bit, but it wouldn’t have changed my decision to buy FH2.

Shows someone buying parts for a car and the option to press “Select” for Setup Manager.

Yep, same has FH1. You can upgrade in different combinations, and save them has different setups.

The topic title’s a little misleading.

But I wasn’t going to buy the 360 version anyway, so no, it doesn’t.

I doubt anyone was really that surprised that it wouldn’t have tuning, considering the original Horizon didn’t.

It does have tuning I’m watching someone tune their car rite now on horizon 2

This thread is about the 360 version.

What are they doing to the car? Upgrading is not tuning, and so far upgrading is all that anyone has been seeing in the recent vids.

So it’s finally been confirmed - no tuning? that’s definitely changed my mind. I’ll just wait 'til the game gets seriously reduced and pick it up for a tenner. FH1 got boring quick for me 'cus of the lack of tuning.

Tuning ot no tuning doesn’t matter for me at all. I’ve never tuned a car in Forza, I’ve always uograded only, so I’m fine with Fh2 for the 360 as is. We knew that tuning wouldn’t be in it. It’s sad for the 360 tuners though, they will have to wait a few months for the Crew to tune cars. The only thing I wish FH2 for the 360 would have more is body parts, there just aren’t enough. A differnt hood, skirts, more bumpers would have been nice, Something to really make the car my own creation.

So is there just no tuning for the 360 version or both?

just 360 version

I have edited the thread title to be a little less alarmist and misleading.

I wasn’t trying to mislead or alarm anyone I just wanted to hear from my fellow forza players.

Exclusive to XB1 version:

-Tuning

-Weather

-“Drivatar” A.I.

Hope that helps too.

Yeah… It kinda does make me want to take a pass on the 360 version. Since I plan to get an Xbox one soon anyway, might as well wait.

The lack of tuning in the 360 version may have changed my mind about buying it. I already bought the Xbox one edition. I may now buy the 360 edition because it doesn’t have tuning.

That may sound odd but there is a reason. I play Forza Motorsport when I want to race seriously. I play Forza Horizon when I want to relax and have fun. It is a perfect combination. The games are similar so I don’t have to change my thinking much. The controls are identical and the cars behave the same way. However, Forza Horizon is simpler and the racing isn’t as serious. In Horizon you can crash into other cars and not feel bad about it. In Forza Motorsport racing is very serious. Setting up the car requires thinking and experimenting. That is fun too. However I have to be in the mood for it. Adding tuning to Horizon 2 moves it more toward Motorsport. I’m sure that is a good thing.

The need to have a full tuning suite in this game just baffles me. The Horizon game plays more like a fast paced game of bumper cars on speed when racing than a serious racer. With the cars careening and colliding into one another and just about every object in site, shattering fences and large objects, with supercars tearing offroad at 150+ mph, tuning to me doesn’t make much sense.

I know there are plenty of people out there who are really good at tuning. Likewise, I know I am not one of these people =) My attempts at tuning have only served to prove the old adage “You can always make it worse.” So tuning isn’t a make-or-break for me.
