In the new Multiplayer lobby rotation there is always a multi-class lobby available at any given time. The ‘Multi-Class Series’ is just one of many different multi-class multiplayer events we have created.
Currently the active multi-class series is the 20th Anniversary Series. The actual ‘Multi-Class Series’ is in the rotation with all other multi-class Series, including the ‘Road to Race Series’, ‘Porsche Multi-Class Series’, and several others.
All of this is outlined in the Update 21 Release Notes.
The issue - at least for me - is the race length.
The 20th Anniversary is short and thus soft tire meta.
The Open Multi-Class was medium length and therefore allowed for stock/street/sport tires builds.
So doing the 20th Anniversary will progress both the “Complete 20 races in the 20th Anniversary Series in Featured Multiplayer” and the “Complete 10 races in the Multi-class Series in Featured Multiplayer”?
That’s why we need a tab with clear information called “Multiclass,” so that players aren’t left wondering which events are available—especially considering most of them don’t read patch notes before or during gameplay.
This Multiclass tab should represent what is seen in real-world racing and reflect the traditional open classes in Forza, like this:
Agree 100%. At least in a 20 min race you have time to make up places if you are crashed/pitted early in the race. In a short race there is no coming back in time for the finish.
I also appreciated the sport/street builds. What is the sense of race tires if the races can be finished on soft tires without a pit-stop? It takes all strategy out of the game.
It really feels like every time the community finds something they genuinely enjoy, it gets removed or watered down. This is exactly why Motorsport is struggling — and why so many players are sticking with Horizon instead. So sad to see what this game has become.
The original Multi-Class mode wasn’t broken. It was fun, competitive, and had full lobbies. People actually played it. You replaced it with empty, rotating series.
If the team wants to experiment with rotating class formats like EDC or ASR, that’s totally fine — but make that a separate Multi-Class playlist and leave the original version untouched for everyone else.
It’s hard to stay optimistic when it feels like the core things players care about keep getting stripped away.
It looks like they want to hold back Endurance for special occasions.
I am sure the calendar will get tweaked but I could see a future where Endurance shows up on the weeks that major events happen in real life, like Daytona, Le Mans, Nurburgring and Spa. The latter 3 are all spread out a bit more in 2026, instead of being back-to-back like the are this year.
As with all of these “my preferred event isn’t in multiplayer” threads, I think the solution is publicly searchable custom lobbies:
I actually posted this thread here to point it out and absolutely make sure they reactivate it. The races they put in are almost pointless and only last 10 minutes, and inevitably everyone uses soft tires, and there’s no point in having sport or slick tires anymore. If they don’t put them back in, I’ll move on to another game because there are already plenty of problems, but if they also remove what was interesting
There was no reason to remove C/B/A/S from being a permanant lobby. Add to it by all means but by putting all the multiclass races in a rotation is a step backwards
People were complaining for months about how they had to wait for the open classes to rotate so they could race A class, S class etc. It was changed to accomodate those guys so they can now race whatever they want, but at the same time muliclass basically restricted to the exact same problem those guys were complaining about for so long!!!
Not surprised, other than when it first came out the Endurance lobbies have always been quite sparse, and even if you did have ~half a dozen entrants most would quit well before the end (or even halfway) so you’re just left hot-lapping on your own or against one lone AFK-er a couple of laps down…
Give us back our multi-class race, like we’ve had for months. The 20-minute race in the B C A S category!! The races you’ve replaced are completely poorly thought out… starting with the race duration… 10 minutes is so short that everyone uses the soft tires, and there’s no reason to use another tire choice since after 10 minutes of racing, even with very poor driving, the tires are far from worn out! Plus, the duration is so short that all it takes is one player to knock us off the track and the race is over since it’s impossible to get back on track in such a short race time. All the other offers are very limited, and even in the open series, you’re offered circuit versions that sometimes take less than a minute to complete, and you feel like you’re going around in circles… It was the only offer that made sense and allowed you to use sports tires or hard racing tires, and the 20 minutes allowed you to have to think more about tuning a car… All the other players reading this message, for once, give your support and share the topic as much as possible.
I agree with you and Cyb3r. At least the Porche multiplayer is back with 20 min races, and I also like the daily changing races, although I wish they were 20 minutes long. I have tried racing Open Classes, but my experience is that many of the drivers are waaay aggressive and I can’t get a clean lap in without getting hit by someone using a crazy line, or just playing bumper cars, until the crowd fans out by lap 3. Then it is time to play catch up, but you can never catch the MX-5s and P550s with only a lap or 2 to go. Good clean racing is few and far between.
Props to the good clean drivers though. I have had a couple really good races. I would rather have half full lobbies with clean drivers, than a full lobby full of rammers etc.
I was just in a full open lobby, but by the end of the race half the field had DNF’d. I don’t understand sitting through the practice just to DNF. Even if I get crashed out I will finish the race to see if I can get the fastest lap.
Hopefully the 20 min Multi-class races will come back soon.
