No more exclusive cars in the Forzathon shop?

This is just something I’ve been wondering ever since they put the Volvo Iron Knight in the Forzathon shop. What’s the point of putting Autoshow-accessible cars in the Forzathon shop? When I started the game, everything in the shop was exclusive. Now…not so much.
I’ve been patiently waiting for an exclusive car to return to the shop so I can finally use the 1100-something Forzathon points I have lying around. I don’t really care about FE cars unless I spin them (don’t get me wrong, they’re awesome; but I don’t want to spend money/points on something I can spin for free). Then, the week after the Iron Knight, came the Senna-a car I already owned. So there went another week. Then came this week, where I eagerly checked the forums to see what the new car was-and, of course, it’s a Morgan from the Autoshow. At least T10 compensated with the free Mosler-a car I was really looking forward to in-game-but still. I don’t see why hard-earned Forzathon points should be used on cars that can be purchased at any time. I miss the exclusivity the shop once had. What do you guys think?

I agree with you for the most part. I think they should be HE, Non Autoshow cars (except for maybe really expensive ones), and rare cars.

They have made rare cars achievable in Season Championships, which I really like, except for making them Co-op. Get tired of all the rage quitters, and kids ramming their own teammates just because they are passing them.

Yeah, where’s the Forzathon shop exclusive cars, i was hoping the rest of the Hot Wheels cars would be in the Forzathon shop.

The reason is unknown, but perhaps next week will be the same as well.
They do not seem to make us purchase a car at Forzathon shop this season.
Not only Mosler and DS3, they could sell prize/wheelspin exclusive cars like R34 and FX4 instead, or sell Forzathon shop exclusive cars of the past like 812 or Civic.
I do not even feel angry anymore.

I really don’t mind the repeating Forzathon shops. Unique cars will come about as needed, and I feel the 812, ZR2, and X-BOW have fit in quite nicely. The Mosler being gifted to everyone has stripped it of its rarity value so it’s not looking like it’s going to be too terribly rare.

However, it’d be nice to see some cars that have disappeared from Horizon in the past. Where’s my SLR? And my '85 RX-7? And my '94 Fairlady? And even my '02 Camaro SS and Ram Air Firebird?

So many of those cars can be opportunities for Forzathon. I don’t know what licensing issues are present with those I’ve listed, but if they end up being implemented, it’d be a treat to see them kept as rare or unicorn cars since we haven’t seen them in Horizon in so long… or ever lol.

Don’t mind seeing regular cars there if they’re expensive. Senna costs a million to buy regularly, so…

FP works much better as alternate currency than tokens ever did.

Yeah, that makes sense; I didn’t really think about it that way. For example, if the Veneno (which costs $4 million) made it into the shop for somewhere around 300 FP, I’d buy it. Thanks for giving me a new perspective on these types of cars making it to the shop. However, as far as I know, the Morgan isn’t anywhere close to Senna range, so that one seemed a little on the cheaper side to enter the Forzathon shop. That’s just my opinion, though.

I bought the Morgan from the Autoshow since in the Forzathon Shop I can’t spec it in British Racing Green.

And since credit grinding is required for a majority of the playerbase (for the price of a Veneno, at least), the Forza Points prices of such cars in the shop should be priced accordingly to avoid unbalanced ratios. I wouldn’t want to see a bunch of Venenos bought through the Forzathon Shop for 200 or 300 FP. I’m thinking around the 400 or 500 mark.

Forza Edition cars cannot be bought through the Auction House, they can only be gotten through wheelspins, seasonal events, or the Forzathon shop. That is the only way to preserve their somewhat exclusive status. And for every hourly Forzathon LIVE event, a maximum of 60 points can be obtained. Along with seven daily challenges worth 20 points each and one weekly challenge worth 200 points, even if the player doesn’t participate in any hourly online challenges, the minimum number of points they can make per week is 340, provided they completed every daily challenge and the weekly challenge as well.

A weeks worth (and then some, possibly two weeks worth) of nothing but Forzathon Points for a Veneno seems about right: 500 points. Credit grinding will allow the player to obtain the Veneno much sooner, but for casual players I can see how those expensive cars being in Forzathon would help.

That isn’t true. There are plenty of FE cars on the auction house.

I’d rather see repeats (where’s the Ferrari 812) than cars that are in the shop. And the problem with giving them out in seasons is that they more often do not work than they do work. Did the coop challenge this week, no reward. Did the Revenant event, no reward. Did it again, received my rewards.

I had no issues with the two seasonal championships this week or last week.

Make sure you have met all the requirements.

They seem to be doing thing like this on the series schedule. I expect the same kind of thing next week, then we’ll see what series 5 holds
