The way the games Video resolution choice works, I can’t choose a 21.9 aspect ratio, other than “Desk Top”. And Windows will not let me turn on HDR on any Desk Top resolution other than 4K. This isn’t the case in Horizon PC. Where all resolutions I have set in Nvidia control panel show up in the game menu list. And can set my Desk Top at 4k and then choose a 21.9 resolution in the game menu, and HDR works. I hope you can change this back to how Horizon works so I can drive in my favorite aspect ratio.
Windows 10 latest updates. Nvidia driver 385.41, CPU: AMD 8350, GTX 970.
Forza Horizon 3 PC version does not support HDR. And HDR is suposed to be used in 4K or 1080p resolutions in 16:9 Aspect Ratio. It doesn’t even works if you don’t set it that way.
In other words: you’re doing it all wrong, man.
I guess my TV Brand just doesn’t know or follow your rules! It enhances everything when HDR is on. Even the Desktop has brighter colors and deeper whites and blacks. It causes a rainbow effect in the white desktop font, which is against a pitch black background. And Horizon is noticeably brighter, more contrasty, and more colorful. So IF I’m doing it wrong, I’ll keep doing that way! By the way, I’ve also tried it in 1080p and 4K. So I know how it is supposed to look. Any other remarks or questions? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQ2-HcPEX_A And so I guess you shouldn’t have even spoken because you are wrong. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQ2-HcPEX_A
You’re not using HDR. It’s HDR enhanced mode or fake HDR. My tv has that mode too. Considering the amount of people that don’t know anything about how HDR works what HDR is, I’ll just leave you with what you think is HDR so you can feel good about the image you’re getting.
By the way, it’s not my rules. It’s HDR rules. HDR10 is a standard and yes, it has rules. Good luck.
So did you see this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQ2-HcPEX_A And yes, I’ll take enhanced, if they fix it as I originally asked before you added nothing to my request. Good Luck to you also.
HDR10 only works in fullscreen. That’s the part you didn’t get it. If you think I added nothing to the thread, I wonder why nobody else replied to you and your “request”. You’re trying to use HDR with a custom resolution that happens to be 21:9 on a 16:9 screen, and thats not gonna work, despite you thinking is already working. You’re not even using HDR infact, it’s just a fake HDR mode. As I’ve said, you have no idea about what you’re doing and how things work, and yet you think there is an issue with your game and even comparing to another game that everybody knows that it does not support HDR at all.
Maybe when you start asking instead of demanding, someone will try to teach you at least how to proceed. My HDR is working very well, thanks. I don’t need any luck
