No credits when restarting the race

I like to perfect my races by restarting them over and over, but a big disadvantage seems to be that I don’t get any credits for those races. Only when I finish them I level up, get the credits etc. The game tells me that by restarting I will lose my progress. Why am I not granted the credits after doing a restart? This seems unfair as I have been investing my time and efforts.

Lol that’s a funny post.

I have to say I kind of agree with the OP - it’s admittedly a very minor grievance, but it is a bit annoying when testing different builds/different cars on a point-to-point track…instead of just restarting the race after it’s finished and choosing a different car, you have to go back to the open world, fast-travel back to the start point, select the blueprint you were using, and then finally get back to the race. It’s especially annoying in drag races, where you spend way more time getting back to the starting line than actually racing. That’s one thing FM7 did better - after the race, hitting “restart” gets you back to the start screen, and you still get the credits and XP.

I agree that if a race is completed you should still get cash and influence before restart but…

If you’ve blueprinted a race you can simply go to your creative hub and restart your race from there. No need to drive back to it on map

yes, restarting race after finishing it should give XP and credits… there is no use in returning to open world and got to drive to the start of the race to begin again just to get the xp and credits…real annoying

No change in new patch December 18… would be really important to change this.

not likely to change, since it was the same way in FH3 and up until fm7 it was the same in previous forzas as well

Totally agree, it needs a “Race Again” button that you lets you do the same race again without having all the waiting to go back into freeroam then back into the race, which seems to cause it to dump it all out of memory and have to read it all in again. It’s just one of a huge number of examples of terrible workflow design in the game.

Does anybody know if FH 5 fixed this issue? FH is utterly uninteresting to me w/o this feature, perfecting a race (or level etc.) is surely a key game mechanic that makes something a “game”…otherwise you just you’re just aimlessly dossing about in an open world which gets so boring very quickly :pensive:
