Most people who voted were the “come-and-go” people as I call them. They follow Forza enough to be mildly invested in it online, but not enough to actually get involved in any part of the community outside of the car suggestions hub (still usually one-time posters), the occasional tweet, and the occassional trip to the Forza subreddits.
As for the car itself, despite the massive amount of votes, it is definitely living on borrowed time. A somewhat sporty version of this body style was released elsewhere in the world, but it didn’t really reasonate with any part of the car community that wasn’t located in Mexico. If it doesn’t make into Horizon 5 before its live service reaches its twilight month, the odds (or even the point) of it being added will be null. In essence, this car is Mexico’s Austin FX4. It only really makes sense for it to be in a game in Mexico, and really nowhere else.
And it should be, that’s kinda the point of the Horizon Festival to celebrate some of the oddities from the local car communities. I wouldn’t mind missing out the Austin cab or the Holdens for this game or in future titles, take it as a regional exclusive that embodies the spirit of the locale.
