Next car pack

No problem

Wow.

What a let down of cars.

I don’t know what to say, apart from the Jalpa and maybe the M4 and legacy…more boring cars that we’ve had before or seen before loads in recent racing games.

They have such an opportunity to add truely unique, never before seen cars and they settle for:

  • The 4C…again!
  • Another BMW
  • A boring chevy sedan
  • A decent retro lambo to be fair
  • This ugly ass toyota
  • Decent 90’s subby

I think personally it’s a let down, colour me mr negative but wow, not really impressed.

If they ā€œsoundā€ awesome, i’ll let them off, until then, 4/10 on this pack.

What do mean by ā€œthe 4C againā€ The 4C has never appeared in any racing game before (to my knowledge) it’s one of the most anticipated cars in the world. Same with the M4.

Let me tell you how wrong you are:

  • The 4C has never been in the Forza Motorsport series before, and has never appeared in any video game in full production trim.
  • The BMW M4 is probably the most important BMW they could add other than the i8. It’s the company’s flagship sports car.
  • The Chevy SS may look tame but is a high-performance Holden Commodore underneath. It’s pretty far from boring.
  • The ugly Toyota is considered to be one of the most beautiful cars ever made.

4/6 never been in any Forza. The Legacy was only in 4, outside of the 2000gt being a repeat it’s a good set of cars. 4C, M4,SS, and Jalpa are all very good additions.

How dare you call a mis-badged Commodore a ā€˜boring chevy sedan’. You just deeply insulted half of Australia mate.

I looks forward to this pack, it’s a great mix of cars. Nice to see a bunch of new ones to Forza.

The only car I do not care for is the Chevy SS. My opinion is that it’s a rather boring car.

Nice pack. All pretty cool cars.

Dont underestimate the SS it isnt average and this pack really blows me away i never thought we’d see the 4C let alone the M4 and Jalpa (Funny thing is my friend and i were talking about the Jalpa the other day) and having another rally car is a plus for me

Wow that guy has no knowledge about cars. What a douche.

Although his first point was wrong, you can hardly call someone that for sharing their opinion.

i can do legacy STi swaps again. sweet

The Chevy SS makes me happy.

The 4c and M4 are just icing on the cake.

I’m looking forward to blasting around in the 4c, Jalpa & 2000GT, not bothered about the other three TBH.

I wonder if the update that comes with the car pack will fix the upgrading & tuning bugs…

Time for some corrections:

  • I meant ā€œ4c again!ā€ by that i’ve seen it/played with it before in other games, it was in need for speed most wanted, al be it only ā€œconceptā€ but i’ve played it in other games, apologies but this was my point i was making, i didnt mean in forza, but still, to me it’s ā€œoh, yet another C range Alphaā€ i’d rather have the Alfa Romeo 155 which is quite special indeed (sound wise definately)
  • I don’t care for this BMW at all, just looks like a reshashed M3, we all have opinions, and IMO it’s ā€œyet anotherā€ BMW where we already have so many in game (hence boring). They are getting as bad as porche, the I8 would of been far superior choice though
  • The SS just ā€œLooksā€ boring, it’s not CHARGER HELLCAT 2015 is it? Nope, never mind the Holden engine, but i suppose if it ā€œsounds goodā€ in game, then i’ll change my mind, after all, cars can surprise.
  • The jalpo is the most interesting of the pack, actually nice to see a welcome edition
  • Again…opinions, perhaps ā€œUglyā€ was a bit harsh (afer all, it’s not a PT Cruiser lol) but to me i dislike the styling, I dislike the gaping ā€œeyesā€ at the front and the overall styling does nothign for me, I much prefer the look of the E type jag which I think looks far better.

Hopes that’s cleared things up, once i get round to trying them all, perhaps opinons will differ.

Holden engine? What are you talking about? It has the GM LS3. The same engine that powered the C6 Corvette and the current Camaro SS. A lot of Holdens use GM engines.

What are you talking about about what i’m talking about? I was making the point the other guy said on the other page about it being basicaly a high perf holden commondore underneath…therefore when i said ā€œthe holdenā€ engine, i’m not incorrect, i was referring to the audio too. Get me?

Also turboteg90, i admit my post was a bit rash, but really, there is no need, I know plenty and my opinions are that, opinions.

I was simply, overall, stating the fact that for a game that boasts it’s open and offroading across it’s decent sized map, that they could of chosen a fair few more interesting vehicles to add, not specifically all off road, just interesting vehicles, personally my choices would of been, in no order:

Just my choices, I like ā€œinterestingā€ cars and vehicles so, hopefully december is better.

I, for one, am looking forward to this pack. It’s downloading now as I type this. I just want to post my opinion of the cars.

4C: This car is new to me, since I haven’t played the other games that featured the concept/prototype version. It looks beautiful and promises to be an exciting ride.
M4: It is the new M3 coupe, technically. The new model numbering system has the even numbers being coupes, and the odd numbers being the sedans.
Chevy SS: It’s an alternative to the Charger SRT8. While it’s less powerful, I’m sure it’s a little lighter. It’s conservative styling is meant to give it a ā€œsleeperā€ vibe, which was achieved wonderfully.
Jalpa: I never expected this one. I’m really looking forward to this lovely car. I can’t wait to hear the wail of the Italian V8.
2000GT: This car is one that I have missed in Forza titles for years. I’m so excited for it’s return! I love how it looks, with the weird amalgamation of late-60’s Japanese styling with the sleek Euorpean-inspired lines being part of its charm, there is nothing else like it.
Legacy: I drove a '91 Legacy wagon for a while (it was a company-owned vehicle) and it intrigued me. It wasn’t a turbo, but I was impressed with how flat the torque curve was on it. It’s high-performance sibling will be a blast.
