New update has introduced glitches

  1. In replays, my current car pushes the previous out of the way because it spawns out of nowhere. For example, I drove a P1 in free race, and then went for another free race in an M5 - the M5 will push a spawned P1 out of the way when I watch the replay.

  2. Game has gotten laggy and stuttery after the update - when I cross the start/finish line, the game freezes for a full second. It also sometimes locks up while I’m watching replays.

Please run the game through some extensive quality testing to make sure updates don’t break anything else.

Still waiting for the missing shift animations and lighting bug that makes brake lights look super-bright orange while braking or headlights randomly switching on and off during a race as well as the pre-race menu.

I don’t have any problem you describe, what is your materials ?

I’m on OG xbox one - plenty of spare space on the HDD and already did hard resets. I’ve owned the game for a few months now and it’s never done this before.

As soon as my car crosses the starting line, the game just freezes up for more than a second. When there are other AI cars, it sometimes doesn’t freeze up, but as soon as the “event results” pop up with the lap time, it freezes then returns to normal!

Also freezes for a full 1-2 seconds while replay viewing. Finish race freezing mostly happens in rivals or Free Play - e.g. when I’m the only car on the track.

And there is now a car parked already on the starting grid when I watch replays! It’s so annoying - my car just pushes it out of the way - and the other stationary car is the one I used in the previous free play event. It’s getting ridiculous - people please replicate the issue so that the developers can fix it!

I’ve not played much in the last weeks, but did notice the hang just as you cross the finish line. At first I thought it was a glitch. But then I thought maybe this is some attempt to make it feel like a winner’s photo capturing the finish going into a magazine type thing. But I still think it’s a glitch.

I am also getting the pause at the finish line and also a few bugs when changing gear. I use manual with clutch setting and quite often there will be an elongated noise of the revs staying at a certain level. Its hard to explain but if im changing down, say from 3rd to 2nd, the sound will remain for maybe a second or two at the same rev level. The car doesnt pitch out of control so i presume it is only as sound bug. Also with random cars, when braking, it will seem that the suspension has collapsed and the car starts bouncing.

I’ve also had the same heavy brake pulsing (bouncing, whatever) that you could clearly see looking out in cockpit view. It seemed like some sort of exaggerated ABS on a Jaguar I posted about some time back with no answers. But that was before the last update, and I’m pretty sure it was the first time I ever drove that car, so no idea whether that was normal or not.

As I said in a previous topic, I think they placed some of the race regulations stuff even if now it is not exactly used.
In a stream about the race regulations, when the race finishes it freezes for half a second after the result screen just like the game does today
Problem is that, before the adjucation screen appears, it shows the results relative to position and it can be confusing, example, wneh you cross the finish line, it appears 1st with the time, freezes for half a second and then it places the penalties and your position accordingly.
The ideal way is to modify the results screens to: avoid stutter (the loadings are fine as is, the big problem is in the menus) and to be more comprehensive.
