There’s a lot, and I mean a lot of stuff you can do in Forza. Like Zeem Frostmaw said, at first it can be overwhelming. New races, PR stunts and challenges pop up all over the place.
Just a quick rundown:
Drivatars
Drivatars are basically AI which represent an actual player. These are the other racers you see when playing Solo. I believe they somewhat follow the actual skill level of that person’s driving and whatnot, but it also adjusts based on what Drivatar Difficulty you set.
Hiring Drivatars
You can hire up to 4 Drivatars for your Festival. The game will scout new drivers for you. All you have to do is challenge them, beat them and voila, they now drive for you. Once you get to the point you already have 4 Drivatars in your Festival, the game will continue to scout new drivers, but once you beat them you get to replace an existing Drivatar.
What are the Festivals?
Festivals are basically the hub of everything car related in Forza. When you enter a Festival, you get access to the auction house, your garage, the autoshow and more.
Leveling Up Festivals
When you level up a Festival, you get access to more races and PR Stunts around that festival. So, for example if you were to level up Byron Bay, you would get new races and PR Stunts around Byron Bay, but not near the other festivals. You are free to level up the festivals in whatever order you wish.
Opening New Festivals
When given the choice as to wish Festival you wish to open next, the choice at the end of the day doesn’t matter. It’s up to preference as to which one you want to have access to at the point in time. Once you reach a certain point in the game, you would have opened all the possible Festivals anyway.
What are Fans?
Fans are pretty straight forward. They’re basically the number of people who are interested in your Horizon Festival and who come out to watch. It’s purely just a number, just like XP and Credits. But the more fans you have, the more you can expand your Festivals and unlock new Showcase Events.
So, that’s a very quick rundown of the basics of the game without spoiling anything for you.
As for things to do, I would recommend playing through the campaign till you have a bit of money and a few cars, and then you can try heading online. Online can be a lot of fun. There’s a few Facebook groups you can find where people organise car-meets, cruises and drift sessions. It’s twice as fun if everyone has a mic.
There’s also a lot to discover around the map including XP Boards, Fast Travel Boards and Barn Finds.
And you can do some pretty funny builds with some of the cars in the game. Like making certain cars wheelie, and others with just a funny downloadable livery.
Feel free to add me on Xbox if you’d like to tag along with me when I’m playing.
