Multiplayer League Hoppers
March 13 through March 20
Use this thread to share tips, car suggestions, and experiences.
League leaderboards are ordered by points which accumulate from all your played sessions during the week.
Points per race = finish position inverted + bonus for finishing higher than players with a higher skill rating. See the League Info thread or FAQ for explanation about skill rating and Division placement. Credit payouts for each division are awarded based on the leaderboard after the League has reached its end date.
See ManteoMax.com or KudosPrime.com or this thread for a list of cars by Division. Unless otherwise specified, Leagues use Damage=Cosmetic, Collisions=On, Tuning=Allowed, Upgrades=Allowed to the maximum of the specific class restriction. Cars must be currently configured to meet the lobby restriction to appear as available options in the Rent/Buy/My Cars lists, so the list of Rental cars may be partial or empty.
So, will damage be on for the Professional division from now on? If so, I’m ok with it. Behavior seemed to be much better in the D Class Compact Sport league this past week.
I was kind of hoping the 787 would be legal for this one, as the Porsche expansion has brought on 2 cars that can legitimately beat it on pace. The 962’s a much stronger option for speed tracks and the 919’s stronger on slow/wet tracks. Would have been interesting to see how both would stack up to the 787 when you put them in the hands of the faster players/tuners.
Hahaha, oh man I ~almost~ wish that collisions were on for the SUV league, could you imagine! I’ve avoided driving these things entirely, so have no idea what makes for good lap times in them for tuning purposes, this’ll be a laugh.
Okay so… Trying to tune the tall bodied vehicle’s desire to roll over with race tires installed is challenging. Lowering the vehicle and reducing swaybar stiffness helped, but didn’t completely fix it. So I gave up, downgraded the tires, and upped the horsepower.
SgtFancypants98 - Looks like you’ve got that Escalade pretty well dialled in from what I’ve seen in the lobby.
So far, it looks like the Porsche Macan is the popular choice and I can see why, man that thing looks like it’s being sucked down onto the road, it’s so low. Not complaining, but I doubt I’ll buy the Porsche pack simply to keep up this week, just going to try and keep tuning up my Cherokee (ridiculous tiger stripes and all) and hope for the best.
The BMW M5 isn’t too bad i’m pretty close to the times in the Macan…just need some fine tuning. The Macan is the obvious choice though but, i like the challenge of getting the others just as fast. Realky liking the ghost leagues especially with damage on, really makes you stay on track and so glad it’s ghost!
And I’m with PJ. The 787 isn’t total king any more. And I would be intersted in watching some fast guys take it on, on speed tracks, and short tracks- that don’t require top speed and focus more on Accel.
919 is monster accel and grip, 962 is terrific at speed tracks. I do understand the blacklist. So not taking a swipe, you guys are doing a great job - but then again if you don’t have the Porsche pack you pretty much left with one choice.
Loving the Endurance league found myself a hooked up car I like, just a shame some people don’t appreciate some cars accelerate faster than others off the line so you’re wiped out with serious damage before you’ve even reached the start line !
Maybe it’s just me, but I’m quite surprised by how balanced the P class is when the Mazda 787B is taken out of the equation… for the most part.
Yeah, there’s cars that most people still prefer and there’s always the first corner incident, but other than that everything so far has been pretty peachy for me.
The amount of diversity I see in the endurance lobby really surprised me.
My tongue is planted firmly in cheek here when I say - I wonder if any of next weeks leagues will also be “hey, you don’t have the Porsche expansion pack yet, you really should if you wanna keep up” encouragement leagues
Actually, that’s a lie. I’ve managed to keep up with the Macans depending on the track in the BMW, but man it is tough, in a good way.
Just quickly - Do other racers who drive cockpit view also have a really hard time in ghost leagues? I’m finding I’ve had to use a chase cam for most of the week, as the combination of everyone taking the same lines, and having black tinted windows tends to leave me blind as a bat when going into turns, when I’m basically driving up into the car in front of me. Just curious, not a whinge.
