New Leagues: D400 Sim (MX-5 '16) | B600 Ghosts (AWD) | S800 Formula E (stock)

I think because your in the 600s and you’re higher than everybody else, it will take longer to get promoted than it would if you were racing with people the same or higher than you.

I’d just keep racing till you get promoted.

The races were scrappy today for the most part but I still had fun overall.

Probably my last livery on Forza Motorsport 6, a quick 30 minute job so that I have something to use in this week’s MX-5 spec racing lobbies. Didn’t like any of the designs recommended to me (or anything that showed up on search results) but didn’t want to race in a plain car either.

The racing was good last night if a little scrappy in places. Nice to see grids of 20+ in Pinnacle.

Unfortunately, Formula E’s been dead since Sunday; having 2 “contact Leagues” in Pinnacle isn’t working well.

Disappointed with the quality of racing last night even amongst some of the regulars!

I have lost count how many times I am being held up by the person in front of me only for some impatient person behind me to take me out. I only try and make pass when I believe I can do so cleanly. Trouble is some people are impatient and think because they are faster than the person in front of them, gives them the right to barge their way past. Another bit of disappointing racing was witnessing someone blocking to such an extent they drove them off the road.

Nothing we can do about that unfortunately; kicking tools are rather ineffective so we just have to live with it.

This happens to me nearly every race no matter what the league is, it’s getting to the point where im going to start hitting people back.

It especially pissed me off yesterday because it was mostly the guy that’s 1st in the LB doing it, it seems to me he is super desperate about keeping his LB position and will do whatever it takes to get ahead of others, despite the fact that he is ahead of 2nd place in the points by a 20k margin but ONLY because he plays non-stop. He’s not the only one though, I can think of 3 players off the top of my head who I will be watching out for today.

I actually believe the top guy plays from start to finish in all of the time slots. On the other hand, the race craft is appalling and the dive bombs and impatient maneuvers have pretty much driven me out of this league. Not everyone can be the best, but everyone thinks they are. Such a shame really.

Speaking from the perspective of a “slower” driver in Pinnacle .

I do my best to stay out of the faster drivers way , that said I will hold my line thru a corner or sequence of corners and let a faster driver thru at the first opportunity, I can safely do so.

I find it frustrating when the faster drivers just push you out of the way because they lack the patience to wait .

Some of us at the back are trying to race other slower drivers cleanly and when the faster driver just barges thru knocking us out it wrecks our race .

This happened to me on a few occasions yesterday .
I’m hoping it will be a bit better today .

I am new to the leagues and thought the idea of racing other folk of similar ability a great idea. Like others have said the guy at the top of the leaderboard a billion points was the guy doing all the wrecking. I started racing and was consistently finishing 10th or 11th out of 20ish racers I was very happy with this, trying to race clean and give the faster drivers space. Near the end of the session I found myself in the dizzy heights of 4th place on the final lap, at Watkins Glen I had avoided a few crashes and had put a clean lap in and in my mirrors I see the league leader bearing down on me, 2 corners to go I think what can go wrong… I’ll tell you what went wrong, this Person drove straight in to the back of me without evening touching the brakes, shoving me straight on in to the tyres. I finished 12th after stalling the car in rage.

Might as well delete Formula-E. 2 days and I can’t find a single race for Pinnacle.

Need a hardcore league.

Let’s face it, to have a competitive score in the league, you need to be able to play everyday for a few hours.

Forza is rewarding the those who have nothing better to do than play forza for 10 hrs a day.

How is this rewarding and reflective of who is performing best? This is a legit question Turn10!

My enjoyment of the leagues is more that it forces everyone to run a certain type of vehicle, rather than the hoppers where anything goes.

I’d love to find enjoyment via a better scoring system, or a system that rewards clean competition, but neither of those seem like they’ll happen any time soon. Hopefully Forza 7 will improve the online game.

As I recall, the idea of Leagues was a way to put drivers of a similar skill level together, not necessarily who’s fastest or best. Being top means nothing, it’s just a refection of who’s played the longest. Some of the dirtiest players are top. They seem to think they have special priveleges that allow them to barge through to get to the front.
I just let them go, if they need to cut corners and wreck people to win then so be it. At least I know I didn’t have to cheat to gain position.

Been in these lobbies now for the past few nights after having not played Forza for the best part of six months. More of the same please, cycled production, sim stock, I don’t mind, but these are bringing out some good racers and in turn, some good racing.

Tierney, if those photos weren’t on this forum you could have easily fooled me that those are real world, especially the 4th one.

Trick shot!

I found a bunch of “cherry picker” camera locations on Laguna Seca and felt like experimenting; that burnout photo’s something I haven’t really done before but it turned out rather well.

Incase you’re curious, here is how I got that angle:

I’ve mentioned this before:

I used to maintain a weekly League thread on the forum up until January, when ManteoMax kindly stepped in to take over. New Leagues are added to the game every Saturday, and you can normally expect a thread by Sunday at the latest.

It would be nice if they would tell us what the upcoming leagues will be. Sometimes they do in week in review but most times they don’t

Generally they will list the leagues starting this coming week by Friday night. I would like to know before that if it is going to be something I’m interested in doing
