Hey everyone, I’m currently a small time tuner. I’ve been tuning cars in a few games over the last few years, starting with Forza Horizon 3. I mostly started because I’m a bit possessive (I didn’t want someone else’s tune on my car), but I grew to enjoy it.
While I do (almost) always tune to the top of classes, I’m rarely going for meta builds. I build what I want, usually an attempt to celebrate the original car or the spirit of tuning, so I avoid things like the ugly Forza wing like the plague, and am fully willing to keep cars RWD or FWD (though I’m not afraid to AWD swap too). The FH series has always been about the celebration of the car and the liberation from the rules of the real life roads. Building cars to adhere to a meta always seemed like playing the game wrong to me. I also VERY much hate weight, so that’s often a focus in my build strategy.
I never really tried to go full bore on the community side, only uploading a few tunes over the life of FH4. I never really wanted to try and “sell my wares” until I was confident in my abilities, and I’m just starting to reach that point now. I probably still have a lot of learning to do, but I’m confident enough and have enough knowledge to not appear like a blithering idiot anymore.
Would people be interested in my kind of tuning? Or would I be missing the mark for most people? I kind of want to start working up my tuner level, but I only want to do it based on merit, not sympathy.
