New Autumn Showcase Remix is impossible

I probably did it over a dozen times, most often coming short by a couple seconds. One race, I was literally 2 tenths of a second off. The last race, the game gave me the win because I tied. I’m not kidding. I got a screenshot.

Did it on second try in Expert, with no stability control.

First by 1 or 2 seconds. It was clearly easy.

I was only able to complete it on the “New Racer” difficulty. Went down gradually from Unbeatable, to Expert, to Average, couldn’t finish it on neither of them.

EDIT: To mention that my current default racing difficulty is Unbeatable, and aside from Street Scene events (which have some shady things going on), I am able to easily win any event on Unbeatable. My steering settings are set to Medium - (important things - traction control ON, stability control OFF)

I ran it again last night, about 8 times, and my best efforts were 3 seconds short.
I even enabled (at different times) every in-game nanny possible (assisted steering, ABS on, TC on, etc etc.). Nothing got me below 3 seconds short. Only thing I didn’t try was reducing the difficulty.

Curious… to everyone who completed this with relative ease, are you using a game controller or a steering wheel?

Not easy it took 6 attempts, but I use a standard game controller. I had to learn how to use it with analogue pressure, because I am so used to the oldschool digital controllers which were either on or off. With Forza you need pressure sensitive braking, and acceleration to win which means pressing gently on the buttons.

I should have qualified my statement… I am using a Thrustmaster TMX FFB wheel on a PC.
It seems, based on feedback read online, that FH4 is easier with a game controller versus a steering wheel. Not using it as an excuse because I have no plans to not use a steering wheel. It is just much more fun I think. If the wheel is gimped in comparison I will live with it.

Understatement of the year. I’ve had rivals top 10 times with a controller. I can’t even get through the first few bends of Lakehurst Forest Sprint without going off the road with a wheel. I can use a wheel absolutely fine in F1 2017, Project Cars 2, and GT Sport.

Assists generally make you slower especially assisted steering and braking
The only assist i ever might use is tcs to stop spinning out…but will still make you slower

I figure that if I can complete it driving with the keyboard (and full assists with auto trans), anyone should be able to do it.

I never use assists. Just turned them on to attack this challenge for the 30th try… no luck.

You would think so, right? So, for the most part, I play the game at Pro/Unbeatable difficulties. Most challenges I complete in 1 or 2 tries. But not this one! Kudos to the game developers. You beat me on this one. On every attempt I was at 1:38.xxx while the winning biker was at 1:35.xxx. Thankfully, I only needed 3 pts to get the Ferrari FXX, so the daily challenges bailed me out. (The Ferrari is quite a car too!)

I love how so many trolls feel the need to come out from under their bridges to post unhelpful, unnecessary replies that it’s “so easy”. These showcases are horrible for me, other than the first one, I’m never anywhere near the bikes when they jump and say stuff, I’m always alone in the slow-mo shots, and this bike is way down the mountain before he says he’s the last one, there’s no way for me to catch him after the last jump. Mind you, I’m holding down the gas 90% of the race, and rewinding any bad spots, so I’m always on the road. I go around the first 2 puddles, but the last is too big. If anyone actually found it easy, and wanted to post a relevant, helpful suggestion, why not list and spots that people generally fail on, and how to do better.
I honestly can’t see where I can improve to get the win, which is the most frustrating part. If i could see where I’m screwing up and work on it, I wouldn’t be googling how to win. From the very start, all I see if the bikes is a lingering smoke trail at best, it’s very disheartening. It FEELS impossible because you’re behind from the start and never see a way to gain ground.

Bragging that what the op is struggling with its so easy for you and not offering any help does not make you cool, even if you’re telling the truth.

Got it on the second try. As was said don’t try to ‘win’ the entire race, it all comes together in the end. Ignore your braking line (if you’re using that ‘helpful’ assist) going into the first turns up the hill, if you cut the marker tight and see the front two up in the distance as you climb up to the quarry, you should have it at the end with any sort of clean full throttle run to the finish. They swerve and ‘crash’ as part of the cinematics in the begining, so just kind of ignore them(and don’t follow the back group-they wreck).

Got it third try. First two runs were disasters, with me finishing several seconds behind. The third time the bike was actually ahead of me but the game decided to give us an identical time down to the thousandth of a second and count is as a victory for me.

On dirt and such bouncy terrain in this kind of car it’s kinda hard to gauge which gear you should be on. I found that my overall speed went up considerably when I just upshifted way before I though I should, mostly stayed on the gas, sacrificed control and hoped for the best (and rewound a couple times). Which definitely isn’t a very fun way to race, but at least it’s done.

Took me about 30 tries to get first and that was just luck I guess. Each race I was losing by milliseconds. I was the same distance behind in each case and at the end and it was pretty much impossible to get ahead by a split second. I think I spent longer on that race than all the other challenges combined. Really horrible experience.

I won by enough not to see the last bike at all. That must be 2 seconds at least.

It’s definitely one of the tougher challenges they’ve set up lately. You’ve just got to be persistent with it, and keep trying to shave off those few seconds, take better lines, hit the jumps straighter, know the obstacles, etc. You gain track knowledge with every pass. So it’s not impossible. Just very hard… With the exception of the lucky few bragging that they got it on the first try.

i kept all my assists as normal (everything off) all i had to do was change the drivatar difficulty from expert to new racer because the blue bike kept keeping a push forward, and it took me multiple tries to get it and i about had it when i somehow got 1st place setting the same time as the biker. i guess the forza gods were on my side for once, but who knows shrug maybe i was just lucky.

I did in on Expert difficulty with all the assists off, it’s not that hard. The car is garbage and i messed up on my first try due to hitting a tree but if you control the throttle, choose your line, try to avoid the water and don’t scrub the landing after a jump… you’ll win easily.

My only problem regardless of difficulty level is when you get out front of the motorcycles and they catch up at some point they run into you and completely take you out. The car is no match to the little dirt bike and they’ll push you forever.

I think there is definitely something odd about this PR stunt. I’ve never been able to get in front of the motorcycles. The only reason I even come in 2nd is because 4 of the 5 bikes crash and burn somehow… and then winning biker is always waiting at the bend before the final jump/finish. The closest I’ve gotten to the winning biker is watching him at the end of the road after the final jump …when I am just at the jump. I think I could win with a .50 cal mounted on the front of my car. Ah well…

By the way, thx to all offering advice. I’ve been playing this game for 5 months though and exhausted all the lines, paths, assists, nannies, shortcuts, game modes, and tweaks for this event. I even pulled up telemetry to ensure my gas pedal was going 100% to the floor. Either something ain’t right or I’m just beat… since I have my Ferrari I’m almost prepared to take my beating… almost…
