New Autumn Showcase Remix is impossible

Just tried the Remix with the Austin Healey vs. The 4 dirt bikes. Its literally impossible. Tried it with my usual assists and to no avail. finishing better then 2nd.

Tried it in full noob mode with all assists on and still got smoked.

Did Turn 10 even playtest this before uploading it?

Cant be impossible because so many people have completed it…so not literally( look up the definition)

Try changing the setting to new racer
All assists on just make you slower btw

I’m not doing a task on New racer setting, it’s too degrading. I would rather say that I can’t do it.

So are you saying you can’t do it?

It’s kinda hard to come in anything lower than 2nd, unless you coop it considering at the end, there’s only one bike left.

I don’t actually know if changing drivatar difficulty has any bearing, as I’ve beat it just barely on expert, and same on new racer.

I did it on Expert and it took me 3 goes to win it and then was by only by .300. I turned it down to average drivitars and seemed just as hard.

I did it. shrug

I completed it first try. Definitely NOT impossible.

Not impossible, just takes a few pratices. My 10 year old son beat me by doing it on second attempt on Expert… True to say I was shamed by him… hahaha

Stick in and tip is don’t press the breaks to hard, ease the car around the corners and let go acceleration just prior to jumps and keep off until car has landed.

I agree with the poster of this topic…breaks lockup so at the hint of use so is next to impossible to ease up on any braking, and ya cant tune the car at all cause it is what it is, a stacked race by playground…and any mishap, and I mean any…will never catch up, I have tried a few diff driving styles, none come across finish line 1st. I have tried it on unbeatable all the way down to the degrating option of new driver…I also gave up, I was once really close 2 or 3 times in expert, but fell short every single time everywhere else, almost 2 hours of trying…done with it and will not try any of the other ones as they are prolly set up in the same manner…some of us just do not have all day to attempt things like this that “seem” next to impossible

If by impossible you mean so haphazardly difficult it’s barely worth playing, I agree.

To secure the win, I had to go down from Expert to New Racer, and turned OFF traction/stability control (you do NOT want the brake/steering helper slowing you down.) so the stupid little car wouldn’t lose any power through the turns. I used rewind throughout. Avoid any puddles and cut any corners you can.

This remix was NOT well thought-out by whoever decided it would be fun.

Amusing to read that people are finding this Remix to be impossible.

1st go i was just beaten but it gave me a feel of how the car handled.

2nd go i won and quite convincingly too.

I have since joined 2 other co-ops doing this Remix and won both of those as well but have to admit both times none of my team mates beat the drivatars.

That said, it is not impossible. A bit of patience and getting a good feel of the car should see you win easily.

I have completed everything (except the daily’s of course) in Autumn and found it was probably one of the easiest seaons to complete so far.

It’s not impossible but it is quite a challenge; must of took a good five attempts to get it.

First attempt didn’t go well, just barely won on the 2nd attempt. I was approaching the ramp at the end, the dirt bike was to my right, it cut across and slammed into my door. Heaviest dirt bike in the world as it shoved me sideways and I was rubbing against the left side of the ramp, was surprised when I won by about 0.1 seconds.

It’s a pretty tough challenge to be sure. The bikes get ahead of you early on, and even with a perfect line, you can’t get caught up. The jumps where the scripted stunt cutscene is supposed to happen, the bikes are nowhere to be seen.

I’ll bet even money that if I were to do the normal event, with my usual difficulty settings, I would have no problem at all. The timing at the cutscenes would line up as expected, and I’d take first place without too much trouble. But doing the remix event is kicking my butt.

Its identical to the normal event other than the “car” you are using so if you can win that you should be able to do the same here

Took me two attempts. The first one I wasn’t pushing too hard. Definitely possible.

I completed it on Expert, it took about 6 attempts.

I tested and difficulty dont matter at all how fast those bikes drive, new racer and unbeatable difficulty both did 1,35 when i just hang out 20 seconds on starting line so i dont challenge bikes, and when i start driving right away both difficulties setting AI was able to get under 1.29 time.

I’ve had the last motorcycle turn me and push me across the finish line twice now. Don’t be on the left side when coming to the finish.

Showcase events are staged to ensure a close finish and to ensure the AI and yourself are close during the cinematic cut scenes. AI difficulty has little to no bearing on the performance of the AI during a showcase event. There would be no point in having the cut scenes if it was just your car in the screen, the AI are designed to rubberband to you regardless of how far ahead or behind they might be (to a certain extent), to properly show the slow motion cut scene. Showcase events are designed for a close finish no matter what and the AI will follow a designed path and are programmed to stay within a certain time cushion within your position (as long as you are driving somewhat reasonably). The only thing that really matters is the last portion of the race (and obviously if you hit a bunch of trees and perform so terribly during the race then you won’t have a chance). If you have problems, just use rewind… There should be no reason you can’t win when all you need to do after any mistake is rewind… The blue bike even slows down just before the finishing jump if it is in the lead… You just need to stay close enough coming down to the finish line with the blue biker.

The only showcase you can shortcut so badly that the slow motion scenes get skipped is on the Flying Scotsman because the shortcuts add up to such a huge advantage you literally break the rubber-banding effect and the AI has no chance to make up the difference to get to the cut scenes in time. This also applies in the reverse as well though, if the AI gets so far ahead of you they will stop rubber-banding back to you at some point.
