Need help with a tune on a Syclone

So im trying to build a very fast C or B Class GMC Syclone with all around characteristics. Any tips on how the truck should be tuned what parts, etc. Any help is appreciated.

I can say from experience that you can over power a syclones very easily. I have a few tunes for A class syclones that are RWD. They are tons of fun but impossible to drive anywhere near all out. Especially the one with the 5.9 in it, lol.

Tune depends on staying AWD or RWD. It’s always going to be a bit unstable above 150mph and up, which in the lower classes that may not be an issue. I might try to build a lower class one since all mine end up being full on street rods not race cars haha.

Sorry, realizing I really didn’t help at all. I guess I would make it as light as possible, all the suspension upgrades, hopefully the trans, race diff for sure, the add some HP to finish out your PI. At least thats what I will be doing later.

I which I could say exactly what but I have yet to get a Cyclone and do something like this myself so I can’t give specifics. What I would do is fully upgrade everything in chassis upgrades minus the roll cage and upgrade the trans as much as possible starting with a fully upgraded gearbox. Depending upon where it ends up after that would dictate what to do next. Most likely I would go power next if you are keeping it 4WD. If you go RWD trans rear tires are going to be a must very quickly unless you have great throttle discipline.

Side note: Why isn’t the Cyclone available (along with many other examples) to use in the career SUV (I think that is what it is even though you can use the newer pickups as well) event?

Tuning the truck is a pain. It’ll take a good bit of effort.

For C class, you’ll need 5.7L engine swap and centrifugal supercharger. You can make it drive pretty good without the supercharger, but it’s at least a half second slower. From there it’s a tradeoff between tires and light weight. Significant testing is needed to determine what’s best for you.

Note: since it’s awd you can save PI by adding the largest rear tire width. Additionally race brakes aren’t really needed (you can get away with sport) and neither is a full roll cage

I have a few versions and they all run top 100s (including the one without centrifugal supercharger). So it’s a pretty fast vehicle.

Nice! I over shot mine. I was trying to make one that was drivable in A class. Greek ran both in his Hotlap Challenge at Bathurst. He did a darn good job with what they are, one has the 5.7 and one has the 5.9, lol. Both are RWD. I’ve been meaning to try for a lower class. Maybe I will give it a shot.

RWD swap may be the problem. I’ve tried that on a few cars that are awd in stock form and they all came out overly twitchy no matter what I did with them. I didn’t try it on this one since it PI hit wasn’t worth the effort.
