Need a bit of help

I wonder if someone can give me an explanation on how to amount Skill Points in challenges, like in F&F at the Docks and at the Golf Course Bucket list challenges. I have always been just a Racer so this kind of thing has never been “my thing”. Skipped it entirely in Horizon and those kind of things, like Bowling, in Motorsport. I have looked for some Youtube vids but haven’t found any as of yet.

Although I usually drive with a completely blank HUD, turning on the skill point display for these types of events is very helpful. As you go about doing things like drifts, sideswiping objects, driving fast, performing burnouts, and, generally, driving with a sense of controlled chaos, you will see your skill combo increase. As soon as you stop performing a continuous chain of these stunts, your combo will end and you will be awarded points based on the multiplier you achieved. Hit an object or stall your car during a drift or spin and your combo will become void.

That’s really all there is to it. Of course, using the terrain and destructible objects will work to your advantage and, as you get better at controlling your car, the larger the combo you will be able to amass.

Thanks for the info. It must be that I am not keeping things chained together. Maybe I should just stay away from Horizon’s in the future. The same thing happened with F4/H1. I quit playing Motorsport to play Horizon, get frustrated with Horizon, now cannot seem to get the interest to go back to Motorsport. The Golf Club is not helping, only have so much time.

Keeping your skill chain going is the key as has already been stated above. Try to combine drifting with hitting obstacles, near misses etc., anything to keep that skill chain going for as long as possible to get the biggest multiplier when you complete it. For the challenge at the docks I was able to get it just by consistent drifting and doing jumps off of the various ramps and not letting the skill chain be broken. At the golf course I used the terrain to my advantage, you can catch quite a bit of air off of the sand traps and just keep doing that over and over. Good luck!
