I’m having this odd issue for a while and although not game breaking it is rather weird. When I race in championships my friends’ drivatars are not appearing in the race, I race against other peoples’. Also when I drive around and when doing a road trip, some drivatars are nameless. They have their level shown but there is a small black box where the name should be displayed. I think these nameless drivatars are my “ghost” friends and they don’t show in races because their data is corrupted but that’s just a guess. I don’t have this problem with FM5, my friends’ drivatars are just fine. Is my game corrupted? Can anyone explain this to me?
When you race in championship events, it isn’t certain that you’ll compete only against your friends. Which Drivatars you face off with largely depends on your difficulty settings in comparison to theirs. So, the fact that you are seeing the Drivatars of other gamers not from your friends list is nothing unusual.
As for the black boxes, this could be happen for a couple reasons: if the Forza server is experiencing issues or your internet connection has become intermittent, the game may not be loading the Drivatar data appropriately.
To be safe, I would recommend you reset your internet router and modem, and perform a complete console power cycle to see if this corrects the issue you are experiencing.
I always race at pro drivatar difficulty and 2 weeks ago I did see my friends’ drivatars and now I don’t, I also didn’t said that I raced ONLY my friends’ drivatars, I said that now I don’t race ANY of my friends’. I also turn my router off every night before bed and ALWAYS turn the Xbox One off by holding the xbox button for 10 seconds (complete shut down). Though I can think of a possible cause: I redownloaded my profile a while ago (some achievements were stuck) and I have this issue since then. Could this be the root of the problem?
Not seeing your friends’ Drivatars may just be a matter of them changing their difficulty setting (specifically: Drivatar skill level) as, to my understanding, adjusting this also dictates your own Drivatar’s skill level and where they appear in other users’ games.
As it relates to your Xbox One profile altogether, are you experiencing gameplay issues with other titles?
No, I don’t have gameplay problems in other games, just FH2. As for the Drivatar difficulty, I remember 2 weeks ago, I used the Pro setting, and one of my friends is not good and uses Average and his drivatar appeared in many of my races. And in FM5 I use Unbeatable and he appeared in my races and didn’t finish well because he uses a lower setting. What I’m saying is after redownloading my profile he (and some other friends) again appeared in FM5 but not in FH2, they just disappeared altogether.
Go to Rivals mode and view a leaderboard for an event or two. When you filter the results to show how you rank amongst your friends, do you see their times on the leaderboard?

IS this still happening after a hard reset? This will happen to me from time to time. A reboot fixes all of it–for me.

If you do rivals events do you struggle to see any gamertags on the leaderboards?
My guess is its a server issue.
It started on 14 of June and it’s like that since then. No, I’m not in the dashboard preview program. After the end of a race the rival appears instantly, when I view the leaderboards it says “Atempting to get information from the servers” (or something similar) for a second or two but it loads without problems in the end. Any other ideas? Will it help if I delete my profile, redownload it again and sync the game?
I would not delete anything.
By rivals I do not mean after a race, I mean from the rivals menu.
The thing I said about the leaderboards aplied to viewing them from the rivals menu.
Ok, so I decided to delete my local save (stupid idea, I know), started to sync the game anew, it stayed on 100% for about half a hour and then it said it can’t sync. I pressed retry and it synced in about a minute but the sittuation is the same: nameless drivatars, no friends’ drivatars appearing at all. This issue is, literally, affecting ONLY FH2, even F&F is working fine considering this issue. I also tried to do a race across all drivatar difficulties from New Races to Unbeatable, still nothing. I really don’t know what else to do. I will say it again, I can see my friends on the leaderboards but not their drivatars in-game. Is there nothing else I can do to fix this issue?
The only time I’ve had anything similar was when I had set it to off-line. I realize that’s not the case for you, but maybe if you change it to off-line, then back - It may prompt a fix.
Nope, that did not help. 
My advice is: Ignore it.
It doesn’t sound like it’s affecting gameplay, causing game freeze or otherwise hurting the game. Remember, there’s no REAL connection between the drivatar’s names and who you’re racing, they’re just robots with assigned names.
I turned “names over cars” off the first day, and have played that way ever since. Cleans up the screen.
I know it’s not that important but it was designed that way, so it should work as intended. Anyway, I’m currently reinstalling the game and if that doesn’t work I will just give up and live with it, but it is annoying nonetheless.
I’m having this issue now but it’s primarily online. n e agairnsatc people but I cannot see the names of the actual players I am racing against.
This typically clears up after 4 or 5 races and the names appear just fine - until new people join the lobby - and again after a handful of races everything is back to normal.
This started happening after doing a power cycle.
