The energy conservation properties & fresnel fallout of all the paint materials in the game are totally wrong since day one.
Yes it’s worse in FM2023 than in previous entries.
Always the same stuff.
- FWD torque wrong on Grass.
- Sport Tires Lasting longer than Race tires.
- Stupidly short pit stops times(this is not F1), and even if you do one Lap fuel it will be added to the tire swap time, EVEN if it would theoretically take less time.
all simcade games have short pitstop times because most people playing fm do not want to wait 30 sec to change tyres like acc
I wouldn’t mind it if we had full animated pit crews making it feel more immersive but sitting there for a while with nothing but sound effects would become annoying very quickly.
One thing I did love about ACC was just being able to sit in the pits looking at lap times as others practiced/qualified, wait for your slot, switch on the ignition THEN fire up the engine as a 2 part process & drive yourself out on the limiter just like irl.
Pointless on a game but very immersive, just added to the whole race day atmosphere.
that is acc though, i personally enjoy riving through the pits but how fm does it is good for it’s player base.
Good for some I guess, others would disagree & want it more realistic/immersive. Just because it’s labelled as a “simcade” doesn’t mean it can’t have realism, a lot of the og fanbase wanted it to be more sim related than the way it’s gone & probably why they are no longer playing.
The cosmetic damage model is too much. A small bump with another car results in lots of paint & decals being scuffed up more than it should be. How about an option to have no cosmetic damge & the cars get way too dirty. Dial it back a little.
Not being able to choose my starting position in freeplay races. Or, for that matter, the starting positions of all cars in freeplay.
Wow a black car with yellow reflections. This is super strange.
I was looking round a car in the paint space after I’d added some decals yesterday & kept seeing reflections of floating brake calipers on the bodywork.
When in cockpit mode, when you push right stick down it doesn’t look back through the cockpit, but looks back through bumpercam.
At least its not scratching the paint.
Sesto’s real identity is a P1 driving in reverse. Whoda-thunk-it?
