Ever since forza 3, ive made lots of youtube vids with forza online play basically for fun and to promote the game
forza 6 has an issue with its replays, let’s be honest.
Ive been through a bunch of mine closely, it has the engine noise cutting out (as tho im lifting off on a straight), the twitching is insane ! It makes the game look SOOO bad and i want the game to look good, but the twitching in replays is just mad.
And before you blame it on my net, my net is greatly improved since forza 5 and that worked great and my youtube vids for that game were sweet as pie
Another thing is, oftentimes the decals are as pixelated as donkey kong
before i was looking at a replay and literally one side of my car had ugly pixelated decal and the exact same decal on the other side (vinyl paste) looked perfect !
What the…
There is a major issue with the replays in that they dont correlate to the actual races the way they did in f5… what’s going on fellas?
By the way. How much time can you save in a replay. And, it depends on how many players are in the race? ratio time per player?
Someone knows about this?
The limit seems to vary, I’m not quite sure what the criteria is.
@ iggsy: yeah, the buffering can be pretty bad. It may just be me, but it seems like it happens less on the 2nd playback. Let the replay play and restart.
Hey anybody got a problem with the replay. My problem its when i save it from online drifting the replay and go back to see it look so laggy and the front wheel dont match the turn with my wheel it look so horrible so i try on F5 and H2 ahd look just fine. Turn 10 is going to fix this ?
Me and my friend we do drift and when i save the replay and go back to see it it look laggy and both got great connection and we have wheel when we turn the front tire dont match with the wheel turn look so horrible F5 & H2 are good but F6 its crazy
The intermittent though occasional replay twitching has been an issue since FM3. It’s kind of like a lag… which I imagine happens due to a memory leak, much like the rare micro-second lag you encounter while racing. Maybe it comes down to the X1’s hardware, who really knows for sure, though I haven’t noticed any lag, twitching or stutter in other games.
Anyhooo… yes, the liveries can sometimes look pixely but I don’t think to the level you’re describing. Do you have 1:1 pixel mapping enabled along with 1080, no enhancements or artificial sharpness?
And, 60 fps replays would be a HUGE plus in Forza!
I’ve also been having trouble getting the replays to save. I race weekly in an online league, races are roughly 30-35 min with anywhere from 12-24 players in the lobby. We like to have the replays post race for photos to add to our site, but no one seems to be able to get any this season. This was not a problem on FM5…AT ALL!!! This is a real disappointment for me, since watching the races post race and taking photos of the great battles that ensued was half of the fun for me. What is the deal T10?
As for the replay angles, T10 has suffered from this problem for a long time. I know the game is supposed to be all about the cars, but I’d prefer to see the racing action from a static TV camera as opposed to a flyby that spins around the car, or camera angles that change 3 time through one corner. Hopefully “SOMEDAY” T10 will realize static set TV cameras that pan the track and racing action are the way to go and what we really want in a replay. If I choose I want to stare at my ride, I’ll go into Forzavista.
The replay cams have been a pet hate of mine for a while now. Nice long straight would be great with the car speeding towards the cam from the distance, passing the cam and then dropping through the gears braking for a bend. Instead it switches every couple of seconds which doesn’t give you time to ‘enjoy’ the replay
My only major gripe with the replays is how it makes it sound like you are constantly banging off the rev-limiter every time you shift, no matter how smoothly you do it during the race.
