Wheelspin became a routine. Back in the days it was fresh and kinda unique, but now it looks like another reward for nothing thing, so i’m completely ok with cosmetics there. I dont want to get money or cars for nothing. It need to be redone, one spin in 5 levels, maybe more rare rewards and more connection to the gemers by letting them to stop the wheelspin by the hands.
P.S. I don’t know what the guy above meant by “NFS on forza engine”, but racing experience in FH3 was way healthier than FH2 in both mp and career.
Exactly the reason why I play the Horizon series. AWD swaps make the cars feel like in NFS World, my most favourite arcade racer.
Also FH2 was as well about AWD swaps. Most people never noticed because of how the PI system prefered good handling cars. However, to build top cars you needed AWD swap them.
FH3 was so obvious because of how much power you needed in every class to be competitive, that RWD didn’t make sense. FH4 is now like FH2 and I’m happy that good handling awd cars dominate.
How dare them make such Fantastic game, i guess people will never be happy, tbh if they didn’t change anything and maybe added features players would be saying this game is Forza Horizon 3.5 or this is DLC…
Don’t get me wrong. This game is incredible, the ranked multiplayer is not. If the developers want to keep their audience after the first few seasons they need to find a solution for this mess. A good start would be end of race times…
This is fantastic game but it’s make so many things wrong way that makes this mutch worst than fh3 or oven fh2 was. Like online now you have team unranked and ranked match if they would make like there is team ranked/unranked and solo ranked/unranked that would make online allready mutch better. If i want to race crashfiesta team race game i have onrush game for that and i dont want fm7 kinda driving either i have fm7 for that. Fh3 nail it online gaming really good and after hundreas of hours it was fun to play. In fh4 i was after first hour playining online ready to stop online racing and i did. I will play online next time when game dont force to play smite kinda team game and when every second race is not mindless freeroam rush game.
They changed one crucial thing,. Being able to choose which class you would like to race online. I’m fine with everything else. I absolutely love the game! But not being able to pick which class I wanna race online is a very weird choice imo.
I dont really like winter and rally races, i dont know i have to play it by force, or playing with a sport class against exotic cars, or playing a category class i do not want or dont have cars of that class (A, S1, S2, etc)
I see alot of complaints about the engine sounds…some of the copy/paste stuff is valid, but overall ive liked the sounds so far. Alot of the engines have a more ‘throaty’ sound to them, like the V8 i swapped into my lotus gt1. With race exhaust, i spent a good 2-3 mins just sitting there reving the engine with the volume up listening to the different tones and such at different rpm ranges. If i had a complaint, all-be-it a minor one, its that i wish the engine sounds were louder at idle. However, how often are you really going to hear the idle? Lol…to much vroom to do for that.
Congratulations, glad you enjoy it, but you’re in the minority.
The multiplayer is unequivocally worse than FH3. We know it’s different to motorsport, we just don’t want to always be stuck doing S2 races, being scored for cross country freeroam rushes while we’re in a street racing championship, and have to put up with ridiculously bad team races

It blows my mind how people can say the ranked MP is fine. They clearly didn’t play FH3, otherwise it’s so apparent how much better the MP was in that
Minority on this forum maybe but me and my mates are loving the game, little bugs and bits here and there but no biggie. Just because you see people complaining on this small part of the internet it doesn’t mean everyone who owns the game thinks that way.
Would love to know where your numbers are coming from to say they(we) are in the minority. From the forums? Love to burst your bubble but the players on this forum make up >1% of total players. Less for other forums such as reddit, TA, etc. That number comes from the dev JONK. While this forum is a way for players to interact with eachother, it shouldn’t be used as basis for majority/minority arguments.
Oh don’t be so naive. When 90% of people on Reddit and the forums appear to dislike it, you can be pretty sure most of the playerbase at going to be feeling the same way. Aside from one or two people on this forum, I have yet to meet anyone who thinks the multiplayer is good in its current state.
I mean come on, the MP is absolutely worse than FH3
You’re still pulling numbers out of nowhere. If there’s really a problem with the multiplayer then Playground Games have the actual activity stats from the game itself to compare against previous iterations. Who knows, there might be more people playing online adventure/road trip now than ever.
Are you serious? It’s a new game with lots of players and once you finish all the races (in a few days) there’s not much to do except play online. BTW that’s a terrible way to run a company… looking at statistics instead of listening to the player base. Statistics are crap. People will play out of pure boredom regardless. (and because they paid a lot for the game)
If you made a poll and asked players which online model do they prefer, H3 or H4 I’m almost certain the vast majority will say H3. H4 is worse than H3, It’s not even an opinion it’s just a fact that results from removing every feature present in H3. And before you’d say those features were bad or unnecessary I need to hear why… and I’m pretfy sure I would disagree.
There are less than a thousand active posters on the forums at any given time and millions will play the game. Of active posters, a sizable percentage are focused on motorsport or older titles. If we conservatively estimate that this title sells 2,500,000 copies and that active forum users focused on this title total 500, that would be 2% of 1% of the player base posting on these forums. Even if 100% of the active forum body could ever agree on anything, it would still be statistically irrelevant and in no way cover even the margin of polling error.
Everyone seems to think their view represents the majority and they couldn’t be more wrong. The vast majority of players never post a thing here, never visit here and could not possibly care less about what is posted here. As a result, we’ll never know what it is they think about any particular issue. Turn 10 and Playground Game though do know because they’ve spent years collecting data on how people play their games and structure, where possible, their games accordingly.
