*I was looking for a hub where I could make appropriate suggestions for Forzamotorsport. net and My Forza, and since the Forum Suggestions category seems to cover this entire website, I’m posting here. Sorry if my interpretation is wrong.
The “My Forza” section and photo gallery on this website were redesigned last year, and I must say that the new photo gallery is unfortunately much less useful than the old one. Below are some of the points that need to be improved.
1: Shared photos are not uploaded to the gallery, and unshared/deleted photos continue to appear in the gallery.
One of the most critical problems with the new photo gallery. I have taken and shared over 20 photos today. But not all of them are uploaded to the gallery and some are not uploaded at all. On the other hand, photos that I should have deleted weeks ago continue to appear in the gallery.
2: Uploaded photos are arranged in random order and cannot be rearranged in the order in which they were taken.
The above images are my current photo gallery. Like 2000GT and 4Runner photos, which are of the same car, were originally taken together in one game play, and in the previous photo gallery they were arranged in the correct shooting order.
However, the current photo gallery is shuffled into pieces like this no matter which display style is selected.
(Also, these photos should have already been deleted. Why do they still continue to be listed?)
3: All photo names are renamed to “2”.
In previous photo galleries, the default name for all photos was a series of random alphanumeric characters. This prevented duplicate filenames when saving, which was very convenient for users like me who use two different folders for storing photos, one for images during normal web browsing and the other for photos.
If, for example, the number of duplicates of an image file named “2” differs between the My Documents and Photos folders, it is necessary to manually rename the file to “2(xx)” when changing the folder designation at save time, which is slightly more inconvenient than before.
4: Original size photos cannot be opened directly from the thumbnail.
In the previous photo gallery, users could right-click on a thumbnail and select “Open in New Tab” to immediately open the image in its original size.
So, if we wanted to save multiple photos at once, we could open the images from the thumbnails together in a new tab and drag and drop them into the destination folder to save the photos efficiently.
However, in the current photo gallery, users can only view the original size image by clicking on the thumbnail and then clicking on the “Download Image” link at the bottom of the image that pops up.
Then, to download the next photo, it is necessary to close the popped-up photo and repeat the same process with the next thumbnail.
This is an extra click and time consuming and more inconvenient than before if we want to save multiple photos.
I like the new Forza Motorsport.net itself overall, but the photo gallery needs improvement. Please consider making it more useful.
