Mustang Events - Multiplayer

I got caught by the disqualification bug at Daytona (slightly
mess up your start so you go a centimetre off track and get a 2 mile penalty and instant DQ), so down at C safety rating. Guess I won’t be seeing any of you in lobbies for 20 races or so!

Bad luck there. You should move up quite quickly though.

Meanwhile I just got the racecraft achievement I was after. Also back up to S4991 after being down to A after getting knocked about in the open events.

I must say it’s thanks to the S800 350R. Loving it!

Yeah, all of this event’s lobbies I’ve been in so far are mostly filled with S-class cars.

I saw Rayne once in D-class, and since I was in B-class, that’s the only time I’ll ever be able to say I passed them.

I also see a lot of players in these lobbies who either drive a car stock, or they don’t build it to the max PI for the class, so they’re inevitably slower than the rest of their group.
I guess maybe some are there just to grab some Challenge Hub rewards.

yeah I wonder why… whenever I get those lobbies I just turn auto drive on. no point in racing people that are 10 seconds off.

Must be just a total grind for those players. I’ve seen some literally go off at nearly every corner.

10 races at 18mins (plus practice) requires a substantial time investment. I’ve only done 6/10 myself. If a track comes up I don’t like I’ll jump over to multi class instead. 5/10 on those so far.

Finished the 10 MP Mustang races now as I use the 350 R for both.

It’s far quicker to do the single player career events to unlock the cars, so the only reason to go the multiplayer route is because you enjoy it I guess. Seems odd to go that route and then AFK it.

Fairly comfortable overall win. Someone may correct me but I’d assume the 350R is far stronger than the other options at more technical courses.

Yeah 350R is a leaderboard car and by far the best Mustang.

Is there any reason why Forza sends the slowest classes off first? Seems to be the opposite of any professional racing I’ve seen. Instant traffic.

Then again, I’ve seen several A and S racers fail to make up the 8s stagger on B. :eyes:

More fun to have to work your way through the traffic. Just had a race where we had 4 S class cars battling at the end of the first lap of Spa, and hit a pack of 6 A class cars fighting it out just as we got to the chicane. Entertaining carnage as 10 cars tried to make their way through there at various speeds.

I’m always thinking “oh god not now” when I’m chasing down a lead car but about to hit traffic.

Certainly adds another aspect to the race.

I farmed this race by playing other games meanwhile xd ez 10 podium places in d class mustang, all u have to do I just to alt tab out of game :sunglasses: tho u get no money for it, but at least u don’t annoy other players since u are ghosted.

I was just trying out some tweaks to the S-800 2016 GT-350 tune you posted here, and then I saw you at Maple Valley in my 1st race with the car.
Thanks for sharing. :+1:

Always good to see another forumite on track.

I didn’t spend a lot of time on the tune yet I haven’t felt to need to tweak it. Seems to have a good nose on it. Been serving me well even against other 350’s.

I messed mine up a bit trying to better accommodate my controller-fiddling paws, so I had to slow down too much for Maple Valley’s bends.
…I’m gonna load up Maple Valley in free-play test-drive to remedy that.

I actually like it this way. If the faster classes would start first, there wouldn’t be much Multi-Class left. The race length, low player count and pace difference wouldn’t allow for many passes.

Traffic management as faster and slower car is a racing skill. Minimizing time loss in both roles requires situational and spatial awareness.
I’ve won quite a few races due to better traffic management.
A lot of incidents came from the wrong assumption it’s some sort of “blue flag” situation.

Haha. I’m always shouting “blue flag, blue flag!!” At the telly.

Is there a good example build/tune shared anywhere? That’s strong single lap pace.

Look on rivals, I think it got decent lap times on Barcelona long track.

I’ll have a look at what tune I used. If it was my own I’ll share it here.

Could be one by @JSR_Chronic from the HLC’s though.
