Music - Well Covered

I’m already aware there are a few posts moaning about how butchered the music has been.
I’m also aware of the reason why it was done. The E rating is clearly important to Playground Games.

My favourite song (only song I liked in this game) was one of those affected. In fact, it’s the last word of a sentence in the chorus and completely destroyed it (Chvrches - Never say die - Soon to be “never say ____”.

To avoid this in future can you make a selection that won’t end up being lacerated at a later date or just increase the age rating? I haven’t met a 3-11 year old playing a Forza game EVER. I’m sure they exist but just make it a teen rated game. Your major fan base is older than that.

Thanks for reading and hopefully this post isn’t just arbitrarily locked or deleted to see if others agree.

Oh, they (3-11 year olds) surely exist. I used to encounter them all the time in H3’s Online Adventures, where unfortunately they were very, very vocal over the public voice chat. :expressionless:

Most of the songs are songs that probably wouldn’t have too much trouble getting radio play as it is, and were probably chosen because of that. I don’t know all the background. I can only speculate just like anyone else. But they managed to land an E rating for launch, and the songs were in the game back then. So this whole thing seems like something that the ESRB sprung on them out of the blue. It might have been as much of a surprise to the devs as it was to us, though they might not be at liberty to say publicly. If they could have predicted at the time that the lyrics would become a problem, I’d imagine they would have.
