More than 50% players going for Forzathon Live actually don't participate at all

Community is starting to be a real pain in the experience really.

Like the title said, more than half of the players going to the pink circle that starts Forzathon Live, actually don’t play it at all and just goes freeroaming in the map while we have to make the whole job for them, giving them 60 points without lifting their finger.

Why is it so troublesome ? Because Forzathon live difficulty is adapted to the number of participating players.

I was not sure at first, but then i started counting people when Forzathon live starts, then counting them at round 1, 2 and 3.

The average result of my observations is dramatic : For 10 cars at the start, 6-7 were at round 1, then it dropped to 5 at round 2, and finally 4 at round 3. Sometimes there was not even half of the participating players at round 1.

I am seriously tired of all these people acting like egocentrists morons. It was okay during the first weeks but more and more players are actually doing it now which means half of the time we have to compensate and do 3 to 5 times the job, taking 3 to 5 times longer.

No more participation in any Forzathon Live anymore until it’s fixed now, fun is gone.

I was playing one yesterday and could clearly see a person just sitting off to the side. We had a small group as it was. I don’t really like how Forzathon is a group activity all the time. I know they have other single person things but it just gets boring and also tougher when people don’t participate to get “free points”.

You said 60 points though, I’ve only ever gotten 30 points for doing a round of Forzathon.

60 points are getting VIP users.

It is very easy, you should get points just if you will participate during every round. At every round target must be recalculated depending on active users.

I’m VIP and haven’t been awarded more than 30 points.

Once it says Forzathon Live is complete, it says I’m awarded 30 points.

Im VIP but when i finish round 3 it comes up on screen saying i get only 30 points, what am i missing? i have the VIP house is the on screen display incorrect or am i somehow not getting what i should?

1 thing I have noticed with forza live events is in the minutes leading up to an event start there can be 6 or 7 people milling about but as soon as it starts half the cars just fade away and it becomes a 3-4 person event. Is there some sort of phasing happening where players are being randomly moved between different servers when the event launches?

But I’ve set the Lake Lodge as my house, as I’m VIP, yet I only get 30 points.

The onscreen message states you earned 30 points, but if you check your total you should have gotten 60, at least that is how its worked with mine.

The onscreen text will always say 30 points were rewarded, but if you look at you actual tally in the Forzathon tab you’ll have double that amount.

same with me every time i start one i end up being the only one and fail. maybe because it’s winter season?

yeah it’s terrible but nothing we can do about it now. They’ll just ride up and sit next to the PR stunt and wait to move on.

It’s 30 points…

It’s not that much of a surprise to be honest. The way it is setup is just asking for people to do that. I tried a few Forzathons events and I don’t really see the point. You just all collectively try to set scores but there is no record of your score. There is no real reward for participating so why would people bother. They aren’t even that fun, it feels more like a chore. It doesn’t matter if you score highest or none at all. It’s human nature to try take the easy route and optimise the effort required so it is understandable that people would just not bother participating when there is no incentive to do so and you get the Forzathon reward anyway. They should have a leader board for each session where the player with the highest scores wins more points or a wheel spin or something. Or even have a minimum score to receive the reward. This would create a competitive environment and more people would participate and actually give a sense of reward.

It would be nice to see the system set so that you only get points for any of the three events if you actively contribute to the overall group requirement for each event.

Forzathon Live is not adapted to the number of players, or at least it doesn’t appear to be at least. I’ve had events with only 4 players that didn’t get past the 2nd round and it wasn’t from lack of trying.

I think there is some scaling, as when I have been in particularly active groups the targets do seem to be higher.

But scaling is certainly a problem for small groups - I have had some where I have been the only player, or where there are only two people attempting the challenge. I managed to solo a speed trap that needed ~1750mph total, but getting a drift zone needing 1.5m when you are on your own or with just one other player is game over. :frowning:

I would also be in favour of only getting points if you participate in the challenges. I accept they are not about being competitive within the events, so whether someone contributes 1mph or 1000mph, but they should do something to warrant the rewards of the group.

It always just displays 30 points earned after live is over, but if you track your points, you’ll notice it’s actually 60.

Last forzathon I did last night, I was racing someone to get to event. Could tell he missed a turn by mistake so I arrived first, no one else there. About 10 seconds before it starts, I see the dude coming I had b een racing so figured I’d stay, was gonna leave if just me. Then all the sudden about 10 players spawn in, I thought sweet!.

Raced to speed trap, did it, it was just me and other dude that showed up, no one else around in sight.

I’ve also notice several will make a pass, then sit in the pause menu.

This stuff needs taken care of. There are enough free loaders in the world, I don’t want to be reminded of them in game.

Well, it’s just another flaw in the multiplayer. I mean online games have been around for some time and one could’ve realised group systems need to be “leecher-proof”. But this system encourages leeching. I seriously start to question the thought that was put in the whole MP systems - doesn’t seem like much.

I have played a lot of the Forzathon Live events… even had one were I was the only player.

You get double points (30 to 60) if you purchase a certain house… not sure which one.

I do believe the challenges are calculated based on the number of players… it’s hard to confirm, but on the one I did alone, it seemed realistic.

Players do back out, but in my experience it isn’t that often. Normally, when they go in the “Pause” menu they are getting a different car.

I still have over 5000 Forzathon points and I’ve bought every car available and a boat load of wheelspins…

More times than not I get active groups that do the whole affair in less than 5 minutes.

It often depends on the time of day and the challenges, if most of the group have unlocked fast travel anywhere, the cars the participants own etc.

If you don’t see at least 5 guys at the gathering point and you’ve got 1 min+ on the timer left, joining a new horizon life session might be a good idea. On the other hand, many players with fast travel anywhere join the run very late.

When the group struggles to beat a speed trap/zone in less than 2 minutes, it’s often a bad sign. Don’t expect to beat a drift zone then.

The in-game message will tell you that you’ve earned 10/20/30 points for participation but if you’re a VIP you get double that. Check your points balance before and after and you’ll see that as a VIP you are getting double the points.

I will test this tonight.

Thanks.
