I havent been able to use my mic since this game launched. Ive tried different settings different mics different controllers and nothing. My mic works on other games but not FH5. If there is no chat in any online race configuration Im just going to quit playing. Ive always bought the ultimate edition of every forza game but this is the only time I wish I didnt because this game is a joke. Have the development team even driven cars before or have they even tried playing this game. I want my mic to work at least.
The microphones were disabled soon after release. I think they said it was to help server stability.
Why would that even be a thing? I cant even imagine if any Call Of Duty game didnt have chat.
They seem to think that Forza Link is enough.
Some of you still didnt realize you are playing a game called “forza horizon”. lol. Stop trying to make sense of anything, its an advise…

So I take it that there is still no fix for this issue. Does anyone know if they have any plans on getting it fixed any time soon
We are in 2023 and the microphone still does not work and there is no news that they are going to fix it.
One of those rare instances where I’m glad something doesn’t work.

Absolutely stupid solution that worked for me . . so just passing it on. . .
Check your headset 3.5mm jack if have one.
Make sure it has 3 rings on it and not just 2 - because 2 won’t work. I had a headset that said it was good for XBOX, and it wasn’t. It had only 2 black rings on it.
I could hear, but had no mic at all.
I bought another one that had the 3 black rings on it, and problem solved.
Silly, but it worked.
Also noticed that if my Elite 2 isn’t on charge using my headset, it tends to have a really bad cut out in the audio - very choppy.
When plugged in and charging while playing - it’s perfect.
