Mic doesn't work in race, works just fine in lobby.

Hi.

Iv seen a few mic related threads but none with this problem. My mic works fine during the race lobby but the little icon when I’m speaking doesn’t come up in the race meaning I assume, that no one can hear me. This is the case with both my xbox mic, the kinect mic and my turtle beach. Nothing in the race, just in the lobby.

My nat type is open and my controllers have been updated so I’m really not sure what to do next.

All other games work fine so it seems to be a forza specific problem.

Has anyone else encountered this and if so, is there a fix?

This has been a issue plaguing Forza 5 for quite some time. We have tried to get responses from both Turn 10 and XBOX Live but it seems they think its just fine.

The only “solution” we have come up with is to restart the lobby (if its private). But that usually creates a new set of issues (such as one or more folks being unable to rejoin).
