Hi, I have a question for the pro paint painters.
I would like to paint a car in metallic. I understand well how to paint it unicolor metal.
But the car need 3 different colors and I when I had vinyls for the other colors, they don’t have the metallic effect. It works well for matte effect but not metallic.
Is there a trick to realize that ?

Edit : Finally I won’t make the car, it’s really glitchy to paint it.
The best i can recommend is is to paint the car in the same colour as the metal stripe across the car and then cover the car in squares with the corrosponding colour and make it semi opaque

Try carefully placed shapes and using transparency you should be able to perform this effect 
Yes thank you, I tried and it works well enough.
Unfortunately the car is glitchy (front bumper by exemple) so I won’t paint it.
I think you can manage the front bumper fairly easily. You should be able to come up with a pretty decent replica of the car.
I was just messing about as I had one in my garage from the season pass and saw your thread.
I wouldn’t let a few challenges put you off - I’ve not tried applying a logo to the car I’ll be honest, so there could be more issues with the car than I’m seeing with the basic base but it seems fairly do able to a non-replica guy.
