Any questions

I’m a painter on forza who has 21k design downloads I know a lot about designing on forza if any new painters have any questions i Will answer every question I get

Seen a few metallic vynals. Red bat symbol and others. I cant figure it out how the being done

not the OP, but I can tell you: you have to make a mask that leaves the ‘special’ area uncovered. Then you apply that over the special paint and cover the area around it with decals the color you want the car to be. Then it appears that you applied a decal with the color underneath.

It’s possible. Just use the default chrome as your base paint. Then you’ll have to use multiple layers with transparency set low as a middle layer to color your various sections of chrome differently. And then put your normal masking layer on top of those. I’ve done several paints with multiple chrome colors this way.

We definitely need the options to apply the “special paints” to our vinyl creations, it would open up so many options and creative designs. Its truly a let down that its not an option at the moment, definitely hope the add it sometime, whether it be a patch or in the next game.

I was thinking that one thing they could do, is unlock features as you ‘level up’. I.e. when you become a three-star painter, you can type in text. When you become Legendary, you can use special colors…but I realized that then the rich get richer (the guys who are already the better painters would have advantages the rest of us wouldn’t, and then the gap would grow even bigger).

I just wonder is the emphasis of this and motorsport is on the racing etc not the painting but sometimes when you have a fast car you want a standout paint job

oh hello redneck XD

Thanx guys i messed around last night cant see the viper stripes will update later my paints are here https://forums.forza.net/turn10_postsm696212_K-i-s-s-paintjobs.aspx#post_696212

I was wondering if you can give me any tips for creating text where there is a gradient fade within the letters.

Like take this Indiana Jones logo for instance:

I’m talking about how the colour inside the letters fades from red to yellow evenly.

I think I’d do the letters as “hollow” and lay them over a red gradient fill over a yellow background.

exactly- here’s one I just finished that way. Made more fun by the fact that I had to do two different color gradients together.

Thanks. That is definitely the most direct way to get the gradient consistent across all the letters.

yep, of course the problem is that you need a border around it to cover the area- works fine if you use a ‘standard’ color for the car, but if you use a custom color you can’t make it work as well.
