McLaren P1 GTR 2015 - audio (1749482)

This car McLaren P1 GTR 2015 sounds entirely wrong to begin with. It does not match with it’s real life counterpart at all rather sounds like a completely different car, right car but wrong sound.
Here is how it sounds in FM2023

And here is how it sounds in real life

Please update the sound of this car using the actual sound samples of this car above, it’s compulsory. I hope these helps.

Second that. It’s a dreadful made up sound. Sounds nothing like the actual P1 GTR.

Both Assetto Corsa and PCARS 2 absolutely nailed it.

When is the audio getting updated on this? Desperately needs a sound update. @JetPartySalad

I’ve voted. Would love to see the proper sound. Assetto Corsa has such a beautiful sound for this, same as the real one.

I hope they will add this car to the “larger audio initiative” so that it gets re-recorded and we finally get the correct sound.

Bug has been logged. When is the update coming

Still needs major improvement. Check my feedback in the P1 sound thread.

If the developers spend some time playing or seeing videos of Assetto Corsa and PCARS 2 and compare those to actual footage of the P1 GTR, they’ll find that those are very, very accurate.

Hoping for an improvement to this beautiful hypercar.

Spot on, I own both those games and the P1 GTR’s sound is very close to the real thing.

Especially Gran Turismo Sport & 7.

All very good samples. You know, I get a headache today just thinking about how passionately they nailed the sounds on the Xbox 360 FM games, and even FM5 and 6 on the Xbox One - remarkable job.

And then we have FM23 - easily the most carelessly made Forza Motorsport game ever, especially given the poor car audio samples.

This one is from FM6. Look at how amazing and correctly it sounds. One of the reasons why I like FM6 over FM5.

This is from FM5 though not GTR. They could have just removed the synthetic high pitched thing from all the cars and it would have sounded great.

Actually, the P1 and P1 GTR sound has never been accurate in Forza, although FM6’s was certainly pleasing to the ears. The P1 was somewhat reminiscent of the actual car while the P1 GTR was off by quite a bit.

I’d use Assetto Corsa as the benchmark as you’ll find a near 1:1 sound in there for both the P1 and P1 GTR.
