Pecking order of those who have posted times in other rivals seems to be Triton (top 1% -2 % on leaderboards) > Jonk (top 1 - 3%) > Mechberg (top 10 -15%) > Gr1malian (How did you get an S3 for Lime Drive%). I didn’t look too thoroughly, but I don’t think Shmoo has set any rival times.
Lets go with Magical Developer Whoopsie, and say Gr1malian (top 40 - 50%).
I’ve updated the first post with the menu screenshot and the gamertag list linked to XBL so you can friend them.
For a little real world comparison, these were the C7.R qualifying times for the 2014 12 hrs. of Sebring.
#4 - Gavin/Milner/Liddell - 1:59.222
#3 - Garcia/Magnussen/Briscoe - 1:59.224
Here’s an hour’s worth of on-board footage of the #3 C7.R during the 2017 12 hrs of Sebring.
Spelled my last name wrong
no “W”
oops, I, uh, added the W for Win. But now I took it out because you’re going down!
I watched the replay of the top time and was surprised how much you can cut the grass after the hairpin.
I just ran about 8 laps and could get mid-2:05 if I combined my best sectors. Currently sitting on 2:06.3 having messed up the final corner on an otherwise good lap!
Silent K , maybe its an invisible W
Oh boy, this one’s going to be hard.
I can’t speak for the other two, but Triton, JONK, and Mechberg (Elliot, Jon, and Brian) are quite fast, the former two being no strangers to three-digit LB placements worldwide.
I’ll still give it my all of course (so far I’ve only lost to Josef!), but odds are those two will be out of reach for me, I just might be able to get Brian.
I can already predict turns 7 and 17 are going to be my downfall.
Turn 7 is the hairpin, correct? I struggle there & Sunset Bend (Turn 17) the most.
Triton is top 1-2% but this can mean lots of things, he might be close to the top or around my level and there’s some difference as I’m not that good.
However, judging by what everyone is saying, he’s gonna be really difficult to beat and Jonk should be a tough adversary as well. I think my current level is enough to defeat Mechberg but not Triton nor Jonk.
The car/track combo might be crucial to winning the bounty here.
EDIT: Well it’s Corvette C7-R at Sebring so it’s gonna be tough. I hope those 3 hours in that tail-happy Ford GTLM in the Showcase event account for something! lol
As expected the car is nervous with limited room for error but plenty of torque.
Top guys running 2:03, manual without clutch and vast majority using TCS, no ABS. I set my time without assists and manual with clutch but this doesn’t really matter a whole lot. It’s quite difficult to modulate throttle on this track, though.
This is a great idea from T10. After johniwanna’s event, when many people complained it was too hard to beat him, I mentioned on here that there would only ever be a subset of participants for whom the challenge was “tough but achievable” rather than “too easy” or “unattainable”. I suggested the skill of the bounty should be set to engage a large number of people in the “tough but achievable” range. But T10 have taken that concept and with a stroke of genius, created an event that provides a “tough but achievable” challenge for 5x as many people.
I’m fancying my chances of beating Triton, but it will be very close and will depend a lot on just how much time we each put into it. I’m ahead of him on more than one of the existing rivals leaderboards, but he’s a whopping 2 secs quicker than me on the longstanding Prague Full featured event that most people used the Porsche 550 for. I think I’ve improved a fair bit since I set that time, though, so I’m hoping my more recent performances where I’ve managed to edge him out will be more representative of how I can do in this one, but there’s no way of knowing how hard he tried at them.
I have a friend who has never beaten a bounty yet, but I think he may stand a chance of beating one, maybe two, of the bounties this time, and I think that’s a good indicator of how well conceived this month’s BH challenge is.
Why did it have to be Sebring? This place is my bogey track. I put in a 2:07, but I doubt that will be a good time by the end of the month. I feel my stress rising already.
I feel your pain, I am dreadful at Sebring… It’s the right choice though, given it’s the 12 hours this weekend…
I love the idea behind this challenge and I’m looking forward to compete with Triton. But why on earth does it have to be Sebring?
Just great 1 can be hard enough to beat at a at stech but 5 will be missing out on some locked cars no doubt this time around will look foward to giving it a go I do like seabring track
If I remember well RBW Triton is braking without ABS and this is my weakness. Anyway I will try to compete with him. Morover I don’t want to offend anybody but I expect that the lady from T10 will be the slowest one, maybe even not able to do the clean lap. Good luck to everybody!
I’m curious as to what makes you think that.
Back on topic:
Welp, I struggle with Mechberg, I highly doubt I’ll get anywhere NEAR Triton. I’m not sure about JonK, I’ve never had to race him and do not know his skill level.
From all I can remember of his LB times, he’s fairly close to Triton. Perhaps he’s splitting the middle with Mechberg and Triton, but he’s certainly not slow.
