I would like to see a setting where IRL manual cars shift manual and automatics shift automatically but maybe with manual overwrite if the car has pedal shifters and an option to chose if you want to use the clutch for the manual cars while using this mode.
Good idea. In my case, I’d like to have my slow cars set to manual, and my really fast, hard-to-control ones set to auto.

I have a wheel with paddle shifters and a manual h-pattern shifter. It would be nice where it would set it to the transmission that the car has.

Although I understand why they didn’t.
You know how for shifting options, you have Automatic, Manual and Manual with Clutch? I suggest a 4th option, which is basically all 3, but it switches from car to car. For example, classic muscle cars and old JDM tuners are in manual w/clutch, modern supercars with paddle-shifting DCTs are in clutchless manual, EVs and FWD economy cars with CVTs are in automatic.
Yeah the 4th option should be called “realism” or something similar.
I wish paddle shifting cars had an option to be fully automatic. And I would also add a system for automatic transmissions to shift up to lower the revving on Cruise Control
