Lost it all. Level 648 back to level 0. T10, please fix this so it doesn't happen to anyone else

Forza Motorsport 6 is my favorite game of all time. I spend a lot of my free time on here tuning, racing, playing around with friends, doing racing series’, painting, etc, and now every bit of the progress is gone. At around 2PM today as I was playing around in hopper lobbies, my game crashed as it transitioned back to the pre race lobby, right on top of a save. It commonly crashes during that period, but it never really gave me any trouble beforehand. When I tried to restart the game, it gave me an error. “Load fail” and try again later, or something to that effect. I tried hard resetting multiple times to no avail. I read into the problem, and deleted my local save time and time again. The game would sync back to 100, and fail, or I would get the load failed screen once again. I attempted to sync on a different console, and the results were the same. I ruled out a fresh install of the game, because that worked for nobody else, and I could play the game just fine on other profiles that are on my console.

I called Microsoft and the guy I talked to was so courteous and helped me out tremendously, but nothing fixed the issue. I had to delete both the cloud save and the local save and start back at level 0 with no cars, no paint jobs, no vinyls, no tunes, and no way to get back any of that which I’d worked so hard on. I’m feeling very discouraged at the moment. It’s not even the money or the level. I don’t care about that. It’s the fact that I sank so much time into creating vinyls, painting cars, tuning cars, and building my car collection all for it to be taken away by a glitch in the game. Please, Turn 10, for the sake of everyone on here who has worked so hard to build and create their personal Forza experience, please do something to fix the crashes. For the time being, I can’t bring myself to play any more. FM6 was amazing and I had such a great time playing and I know that I could just suck it up and remake everything but I just can’t right now. I’m sorry.

T10 will never fix this problem… I month before F6 came out my F5 game crashed, lost level 4100, 300,000,000 $ and 360 cars with great tunes.

I am not sure if he is still around but try sending a private message on the forums to HeliosT10 and explain your situation.

Turn 10 apparently doesn’t listen to anything posted in these support forums. I posted a problem that I had over 3 weeks ago and never got a response from them. Never got a response from the email either.

I had that happen in FM5. It has to do with the update/sync process between your console and the cloud. I turned on the game one day to find all my cars gone. My level was intact and my achievements too, but it was like “Gone in 60 Seconds” had happened. Customer support at xBox Live was as helpful as they could be. It was though no fault of their own. We had a weather event that night and power was cut to the house. Once it was restored various computers rebooted, but the xBox wasn’t one of them. It was unfortunate timing for the drop in power to have occurred during the sync. Fortunately I had millions of credits and all my tunes were intact. So I started buying cars again.

Man I feel for ya dude. I am one that just loves FM6. If I had that happen to me, I think it would be like my favorite dog dying. If only we could gift, I really would help you out. I know I could never replace your tunes or paints. But some gifts from the community sure would help. Levels don’t matter so who cares about that.

Wonder if the Devs sit at home or in their cubes and are like,

THIS IS A SAD, SAD, BORDERLINE UNACCEPTABLE OCCURANCE. FH2 AND THIS TOO NOW?

MAYBE FIGURE YOUR PROBLEMS OUT BEFORE RELEASING ANOTHER TITLE.

I’M Sure the FCC/SEC or whatever agency in the US Gov’t that regulates video games would LOVE to hear about your lack of ability AND care.

This happend to me on FM5, lost everything went from level 1200 to 0 and lost over 100mil so i understand your frustation but you’ll have to start over.
