Looking for help to come up with a curated list of cars with endurance racing pedigree

Hi, I want to come up with a list of 50 cars which could be used in blueprints to represent cars which have some relationship with endurance racing. (50 is unfortunately the limit when manually selecting cars).

I know we don’t have many actual race-spec cars in the game, so I’m ok with the production versions being used as stand-ins. I’d also like to cover classics to modern cars, if possible. I’m just not sure what the best way of going about this is, other than doing some heavy research since I’m not an expert on endurance racing. I figured I’d throw this out there to see if there are any endurance racing experts out there for whom this would be a piece of cake.

I’ve been looking through the car list on Kudos Prime but there isn’t much info beyond the specs of the cars.

If not, that’s ok too, I’ll come up with something.

For 1950’s & 1960’s endurance racing look at the Classic Racers car type:

1967 Ferrari #24 Ferrari Spa 330 P4

Ok, that’s quite helpful, thanks a lot! It will be tough pairing the list down to 50 cars.

On your list I don’t see some I thought might have been applicable, am I mistaken? I was thinking of cars like the Ferrari F40 Competizione, F50 GT, Porsche 911 GT1 Strassenversion (isn’t this just a road-legal version of a race car?), Lambo Diablo GTR, McLaren F1 GT, etc. But if these are also valid that’ll make choosing only 50 even harder. Hah

Retro Supercars has most of those cars (along with others that aren’t really associated with racing):

Something you can do is go to my spreadsheet at www.bit.ly/FH5spreadsheets and on the Cars tab, click the Data menu, then Filter Views, and Create New Filter which will allow you to filter the cars by each column. This would allow you to narrow ranges like Weight and Top Speed and Car Type to remove unwanted cars. I also have a Stats tab showing the differences in the Car Types. So for instance Hypercars generally have high top speed but lower handling than the (Extreme) Track Toys.

Wow, thanks again! Being able to filter down will be very helpful so I’ll definitely check out your spreadsheet. My criteria are less with performance though and more with association with endurance racing, but I can see I will already have to cut a lot of cars that I might otherwise want to include, so yeah, I have to exclude stuff somehow.
