Long Beach - choppy frame rates?

Noticed something weird the other day. Despite getting Long Beach on the day it was released and playing almost daily, I started FM5 yesterday to mop up a few achievements.

Both in Free Play and Multiplayer (both in Private and Public), only the Long Beach tracks were causing choppiness or frame-drops, depending how you look at it. I power-cycled my One to see if that resolved the issue but no. The issue remained and for some weird reason it happens on each layout and at the same point on track.

For instance, on Full & West: approaching the roundabout where the leftside barrier sticks out a bit: choppy, choppy and the moment I can actually hit the roundabout with my right wheel, it goes smoothly again. On Full & East, going downhill to Turn 8 (based on Full layout), same happens the moment I clear turn 7 and start descending. Choppy, choppy until the where you need to start braking going right.

Seeing it also happens in Free Play, and thus not a connection/lag issue to other players, makes me wonder what can be the cause or if someone else has noticed this behavior in recent days as well?

You could try reinstalling the game, which will reinstall the content updates, to see if that fixes the issue.

First off, I know TV’s don’t have a ton to do with FPS drops, but…

I haven’t noticed a single frame rate or resolution error, although I am running only in 720p. Once this TV dies I will upgrade to 1080p, but for now it was a free 52 inch TV, so I’m not complaining. Haha
