Hey Players,
I’ve been playing FH5 since its release with my Elite controller, but it felt like steering and acceleration were difficult to control, and bought the G923 to try handle both. Unfortunately, there’s settings to be figured and set before getting to be number #1.
To be honest, this is my first sit down of working any game where settings need to be paramount for a perfect race/challenge to be won, and being an old gamer, (first time on any XBox), there’s a lot to be left desired for and consider. Unlike 10 years ago, we just sat and drove. Today, we have the power to change settings, and win races & challenges on our own merits.
My first reaction after setting up the SIM wheel, pedals and shifter on an older style SIM frame used on a PS3 driving game, (this time without the race seat involved, and using a lounge chair to sit at which is much more comfortable), was it’s great to drive on cruises, but drifts so far are too hard to handle, and so it seems are other cars when turning while accelerating. I haven’t got a separate brake handle set-up yet, (I think these are being called e-brakes?), I’m still thinking about getting one.
Button Mapping seems like there’s an issue between the wheel settings in FH5, of which I’ve tried so far fiddling with each setting, but it seems FH5 is leaving settings up to us to decipher through?
When wanting to get advice from those who’ve been at it longer than I, I came here to get help. I tried searching for previous posts on this website related to this topic, but there looks to be little to none and more online.
Can players shed some light on this subject, as I’d really like to drive better with this wheel’s settings at a premium, but I’m not sure how’s the best way to deal with this?
Thanks in advance
