Hello, i meet a problem with my logitech G920 wheel in Forza Horizon 4. I notice that Centering Spring forses is allways ON and trying to CENTER my wheel. That’s completely ruins my FFB experience in my favourite game. In my Logitech Gaming Software point “use centering spring in FFB games” set UNCHECKED. Hope you can hepl me and thanks on advance.
Did you try turning the spring setting in the advanced options to 0?
Yep. I turn it off in game settings. I suppose that issue in Logitech Gaming Software. Because when i deleted LGS and connect wheel without driver - wheel works(maybe) good, however, button mapping dont working correctly.
literally what happened to me
So my new wheel arrived yesterday and I installed the official drivers and started playing games, beamng, asseto…etc All work great except FH4, for some reason the first time I launched the game, the wheel worked fine, but when I close the game and play it again the FFB is really stiff and doesnt do anything, just makes the wheel go to the centre point, like a spring wheel. I tried reinstalling drivers (worked the 1st time launching the game and when I close it and start it again does the same thing.) switching usb ports, changing in-game or logitech config.
The wheel it self isnt the problem but idk what it is. These are my specs:
Windows 10 Pro 64 bits Build 17763
Logitech g920 + shifter
Nvidia 1050ti
Intel i3 7100
8 GB Ram
Might poke around in here

Or possibly browse the community tech section. No experience with wheel in fh4, just giving you something to look at. I’ve summoned the wheel use God, but I’ve no idea if he’ll show up, he’s kinda old and cranky
I think I had this issue before with it being really strong at center. Try this. Go into game and copy down your current settings. Then drop everything to zero and then try to find the culprit. Here are my settings in game. Not sure if it will help or not but you can try it.
Hope this helps

I’ll pass along my T500 control panel settings, just ask. Might help sort out what does what, so to speak.
Cheers,

I bought a g920 and experienced it losing center. I filed a claim and found the brand new one to do the same thing. I was able to recreate the problem by jerking the wheel left really hard and it would loose center. I could only get it to loose center by jerking left not right. Long story short I spaced the hall effect sensor away from the motor about a half am inch on one side so it’s at an angle now but it no longer looses center. I tested this on the brand new one and it worked. Good luck

Why did you combine these. These issues are not even remotely related
Someone should make it known
The G920 isn’t supported on PC which is why it isn’t working properly. Only the G29 is for some reason. Same goes for any wheel that works with an Xbox. Only PC only wheels or PlayStation./PC wheels are supported on the PC now since they updated the controller compatibility page last week. Stinks for me because I have 2 wheel setups that are for PC/Xbox and now I have to get my hands on a PlayStation wheel. Ridiculous to say the least. https://support.forzamotorsport.net/hc/en-us/articles/360001984148-Supported-Wheels-and-Devices

This confused me allot. What does it mean that G920 is XBox only in this article? Is it something like this possible? I bought G920 just for the Pc use…
The g920 is too supported. It dont work properly because it has a design flaw.

Which design flaw? I didn’t heard about this…
Someone should post this somewhere people will see it. I think it would help ALOT of people. Every wheel has this flaw PC or not the hall effect sensor is the issue. If u can create the issue u probably are not turning the wheel left fast enough
Please be sure to read this entire article on our support site on wheels, setup and tuning.

The G920 is supported.
You absolutely should NOT delete your wheel software drivers. The wheel may seem to work, but it will not be working correctly. You should have the most recent wheel drivers and firmware installed, and we recommend you use their software’s default settings and use the game’s advanced settings menu to tune the wheel to your preference. Or vice-versa, not both.
I got a Logitech g920 for Christmas and I turned everything off started the game with the wheel, and the xbox as well, whenever I am driving in FH4 the wheel goes nuts, car just auto turns, while going straight, it uses enough force to rip it out of my hands, am confused as heck as to what is going on, both the FH4 demo on PC and the actual game on XB1 acts this way, in any car/vehicle. also I play other simulators for driving on PC and the wheel just acts fine
