I just got the demo and cannot make my G27 work at all… The first issue I have is when I got to add a new profile with the game through the logitech profiler I get all kinds of windows access issues with the forza folder and it just wont let me select the executable for the game. When I go in game I select the G27 profile from the drop down list and enter into a race but my steering wheel just pulls to the left and the gas and brakes are on at the same time… The stranger thing is that it doesnt matter what button I press on my wheel nothing happens at all until I touch the keyboard and it changes the controls to the keyboard controls. I tried making a custom mapping for the wheel in game but when I go to select gas everything is fine at first but when I select to map the brake it detects the brake pedal as the same button as the gas… So basically I map the gas and then when I go map the brake it removes the button from the gas and puts it on the brake, I have also made sure combined pedals is off in the profiler.
I downloaded Dirt Rally really quick because I thought my wheel was broken and after selecting the profile in game everything worked perfectly. Did I do something wrong??? Whats with the strict access permissions on the forza 7 directory?? Does anyone else have any issues like this???
I was actually able to fix my issue and it was actually due to the way windows 10 detected my wheel. It was detecting it as a Logitech driver force ( something like that ) but I have a g27 and so the mapping of the buttons was all wrong and so was the calibration. To fix this issue I followed the steps in the following video just in case anyone else ever has this problem with windows 10 and the g27 wheel.
