Is it just me, or did they copy the livery editor from FM7 without the updates out of FH5?
Additionally it seems the movement with the cursor buttons of the livery parts are not working for me.
And FM importet just a few of my old liverys from FH5 and FM7, even the ones I´m absolutely sure to have no foreign decals.
I’m having a lot of bugs with it. If I import a vinyl group from a previous game and then go to load it, it crashes every time. That’s annoying, but my saved liveries don’t show up anywhere. Yes, they’re absolutely saved. I share them and they don’t show up in search results, either. Yes, they’re absolutely shared. The third time I even immediately searched for it after sharing and it briefly shown up, and I even followed myself, but minutes later it didn’t show up in search results. No, I’m not banned or anything like that, and my liveries can’t violate anything. They’re stuff like Totino’s or a plush dog.
The livery system is a mess. I am finding FM can’t even see about half of my FH5 livery catalog. It appears to be the most recent ones that are absent.
The editor itself appears to be mostly a copy+paste of the FM7 editor, with a few newer features from FH4 and FH5 (masks and global vinyl texture) added. It is a minimal-effort implementation after a 6-year dev cycle, and they still messed it up.
It would seem that the lighting options are also a poorly done thing…

So they just copy pasted FM7 feature, deleted all 4 backgrounds and made a new one and used the old name of the first lighting option (ambiend light) for it.

Almost any aspect and this game screams unfinished. I hope that there will be big updates in the near future.
GT7 livery editor is light years ahead of this mess, was hoping the editor would get an overhaul it definitely needs it.
If ever there was a feature that needed to be “built from the ground up”, it’s this.
