Yes that’s it. To be fair though I had a lot of half finished liveries on H5. So when I went through and deleted them I was under the 450 requirement to import to Motorsport. So I can import liveries just now but still I don’t think it should be the case that we need to do that. Still need to group up my vinyls to do the same with them though but I much prefer painting on Horizon so might not bother with that.
Liveries - Players getting Too Many Saves when trying to import vinyl or liveries from FH5 (1667962)
This is an attempt to import a livery and then a vinyl from FH5
Also did that but i didn’t import all liveries from fh5 so now i made more than 450 again and i can’t add to FM again , it’s annoying i just use FM livery editor for cars that doesn’t exist on FH , also use FH livery editor way more for the rest .
Thankfully i had my vynils all grouped before on FH , and trust me it’s not easy , takes soo much time but i believe it worth it .
I hope they fix this because we can’t simply delete our work from previous games either unfinished project or old not looking gd once since i keep some when i started making liveries to see the progress i made .
After Update 14 I still cannot import liveries or vinyls from Horizon 5. Still getting ‘Too many saves’.
@WOLFayayame I’m also having the same issue trying to import a livery for the Shelby GT500 from FH5 into FM. It shows the liveries, but get the too many saves window as I have around 500+ liveries in FH5.
This is happening for me on the Xbox Series X console. I don’t use Steam.
Everyone probably knows this, but I’ve just figured it out with regard to importing liveries and vinyls.
If wherever you’re importing from, if the number of vinyls or liveries is higher than what Forza Motorsport will allow, then it will show them, but not let you import them.
If you go to the game your exporting from and delete vinyls and liveries so that it’s below the FM maximum limit, then you’ll have no problem importing into FM.
It’s a pain, especially if you have a ton of vinyls and liveries that you would have to delete.
It’s been documented and it’s the core of the issue.
Why would the total number of files in FH5 determine how many more one can import in Motorsport.
It should only depend on the number of save slots available on Motorsport. Obviously a bug.
No chance I’m deleting stuff in another game, specially one that is considerably more popular and thus gets more downloads and uses than this limp effort.
I could transfer designs no problem before either the August/July update despite the high design number disparity that I have between the two games.
Something happened at that stage & I think they need to return it to the way it was.
I cannot import any livery or vinyl group (of course totally made by myself) from FH5. I have no liveries in Forza Motosport and every time I try to import liveries from FH5, it prompts failed to import because of too many save files.
One possibly reason could be the maximum liveries number in FM is 450, while my vinyl groups number in FH5 is more than this number, thus I’m afarid it’s a glitch.
After Update 16 I can now import vinyls from FH5, but I haven’t tried a livery yet.
Seems like this is fixed as of U16, I managed to import two liveries from FH5, despite being over limit (578/450).
