Lime Rock Park (Possible) Bug?

Hey guys. I was doing the D Class League event a little earlier in the evening and uhm… Lime Rock decided it didn’t like me very much. It only seemed to do this to my car on the actual rumble strips. The smooth concrete(?) pieces on the corners produced no trouble.

I would include video footage, but we all know how convoluted that can be these days, so hopefully these basic pictures can help out.

EDIT: Photos not linking properly from Flickr, so I apologize for the large ones.

Lap 1: Dipping inside of the first left-handed corner and this glitch smacks me around like I hit an invisible wall.

Back half of Lap 1: I overcooked this corner regardless, but it looks like my car was snatched inward here. Very odd.

Same Corner: I snapped this at a halfway point of coming off of the bump strip to show how even with the weight still loaded, the front end of the car is at a way more normal ride height.

Lap 3: On Lap 2 I avoided bump strips entirely. However on Lap 3 I decided to test my luck once more.

Same spot, Front Angle: I’m no physics master, but that doesn’t add up…

Immediately coming off of the rumble stripping: Well that looks a lot more like expected behavior.

Very Next Corner: Smooth Concrete, no problems.

Same Spot, Side-ish Angle: Might not be the best line, but still.

You can even see how in that first shot there on Lap 1 the bumper is dented. This makes no sense as the D Class League right now has no collisions and I ~know~ I didn’t hit anything before that invisible wall.

If this is a known issue, feel free to delete/move/whatever, but I figured I’d reach out to see if this is happening to everyone because I never had this happen in the demo nor when I ran Lime Rock in Career.

I had the same problem yesterday! Especually on the curb stone in corner 2! When you go over the curb in a car with low suspension you will hit a invisible wall!

FM Please fix this!

Others were reporting this a few days ago. No idea where the thread is, but it may still be around to compare notes.

I nailed that invisible wall super hard. Then my drivertar hit the same damn wall. Don’t ever go over that rumble strip it’s a dead end lol

Yeah, I’ve learned I need to stay away from the rumble strip on that turn for now. The first time I hit it was pretty hilarious though.

Yes turn 3 has some invisible wall to the left of the curb. Its the only left turn on the entire track. Just don’t cut inside that curb too much and you should be fine. Still needs to be fixed.

Now, I am assuming this is a problem with the track, though it has only happened in one race so far.

I was in the Dodge Viper ACR in a 6 lap race. On two laps something tried to deflect the rear of the car. It was just past the first left hander. I wondered initially whether I’d made contact with the wall, but reviewing the Replay disproved that (I kept the Replay). There was a puff of smoke from the rear tyres as the car was being deflected.

I’ll try some other cars later to see if I can get it to happen with them.

After further investigation, I found the bump by the kerb. I’ll have to check my replay, but I don’t recall being over the kerb before. On trying the first variation of the track (I was on South Chicane initially), I came to the kerb (where the alternate layout joins), the kerb before the join, just before the last corner and got spun out as my left wheels got just past the kerb. Very bad bump!
