UPDATE — This issue has been resolved. Extra barrier has been placed in between the existing barriers. Boards have also been wiped due to the chicane bypass posting clean. Thanks all staff at T10 for listening to this issue. This thread can be locked.
Initial issue:
Hey all, had a friend of mine (IR JodyJo) point this out. Apparently the chicane can be cut clean on both Limerock South and the Alt track. This is actually faster by about .5 or more depending on how quickly you can get through the barriers. See pic below. There is enough room to get through and get a faster lap. Barriers aren’t doing their job it seems. This needs to be fixed quickly as I’m certain it will be abused online. At least another barrier should be added to prevent this. Also, this can be seen on B class boards.
I would like to thank LazyBananaTRC for posting my pics for me. These pics are of my 97 Civic. You can completely ignore the south chicane at Lime Rock and drive past the wall and not have an invalid lap. I picked up .4 on my time. I went from a 59.9 to a 59.5. All Turn 10 needs to do is add a wider tire barrier that stretches across the track to keep people from cutting because this will get abused in the lobbies big time. I hope this post gets seen by Turn 10 and a patch for the track comes as soon as possible.
Appears penalty marks just aren’t where they should be on a few other tracks too. Hockenheim first corner can be ignored and cut about 5ft right of where the actual corner is. I believe there was another post about Top Gear track ignoring T1 and T2. Not sure if either will be looked into though. I would think Lime Rock is a bit more of an issue. Would be nice to get this fixed seeing how it is a new addition to the series and already 2 of them are broken both on LB and multiplayer.
I just found out about this last week whilst taking part in a Hot Lap challenge over at team HLR’s site ( B class Lime Rock Alt) . Was such a dissapointment when I hit the brakes for the chicane , only to see the #1 ghost not stop and keep it planted through a gap in the barriers!
Come on guys , get this sorted for us please! Surely its an easy fix ?
