So the news flash today was about the super cool hot mess track stuff for the blueprinting. And how even non-expansion owners could run the tracks made in Mexico. So every track I tried took me to the server connection to buy the expansion or other upgrades. Yeah, if you’re a non-expansion owner you can drive the tracks. If you buy the expansion. Microsoft T10, and PGG, they’re about to lose a player.

Seems fine to me if they are allowing non expac owners the ability to drive on the tracks but not allowing them to build tracks with the new expac pieces. If anything you should be thanking them lol.
In saying that, the Mexico tracks don’t clip together like the new Hot Wheels track pieces do. If they want to gate this from non expac users then they are just doing themselves a deservice because they are severely handicapping creators such as yourself. They would be better off not doing this for their own sake.

Seems like a sensible setup to me. Why should non expansion players get everything for free.

Hot Wheels tracks made on the main Mexico map can be driven by everyone.
If you look through a list of maps in eventlab and see the Hot Wheels banner at the bottom than that means the map is made in Hot Wheels park so you’d need the expansion for those ones.
At least that’s the way I understand it from looking through eventlab.
The main issue is that you can’t really tell if someone used Hot Wheels track pieces on a main Mexico map unless they say that in the description. Seems like there’s no real discoverability for non-expansion owners to find this content.
